Please get the basics like cooling, audio (please don't omit 3.5mm jack), buttons size, comfort and maintainability (please dont hide screws under triggers forcing people to pop off the triggers just to get access to the internals)!correct. Please use well known branded SSDs models especially for the overcharged higher storage SKUs and make it easily accessible and not hide it under all other boards. Please make extra buttons fully mappable (as any keyboard keys and controller key or a combo of them like what steam does) including one as a steam guide/menu button, lc rc in previous handheld are super limited in use as they can only map to a few limited keys. No need for fanciful terms/description like what you put on your slides everytime for the vibration, audio and other stuff, just get the basics right and less coining of fluff/marketing terms like baby grip, hyper sound or whatever.

I had ayaneo 2. Amazing handheld. The feel and screen were amazing. Vibration great and comfortable. But cooling and battery life were not good. Changed to Ally X. Much cooler and better battery life. If ayaneo can improve these then I would buy again

There was a cooling upgrade kit send free to the ayaneo 2 user and the new generatíon of ayaneo 2 got the same shell as the ayaneo 2s wich improve ventilation. Maybe you just not know that you where able to fix the cooling issue. For the battery, it is not bad but yes, a bigger battery is always welcome

That s a good thing. At least we have new hardware upgrade. Also, don t forget they still offer support for there older version. They just release a hardware upgrade for their ayaneo 2 which will change the apu to the newer one

Honestly, I’m hesitating between the AYANEO, the ROG Ally X, and the OneXPlayer. I love the AYANEO because its design is very beautiful, unlike Valve’s Steam Deck or the ROG Ally. However, the AYANEO is quite weak in terms of power and battery life.

Love the aya neo products, I just wish they would use Matte Black, Aya products get filled with fingerprints all over and with the all glass front it looks to be the same case. The kun also was fingerprint heavy on the black model

@ any handheld company knows that a large portion of users do video game emulation. So moving buttons around makes it easier to play Nintendo and Sega games. Also, now that this option is here, a third party can make Play Station buttons too. It would be so much nicer than just being stuck with Xbox layout and trying to remember which button is where for older systems. 🍻

@@tonyrosario1940 true but Xbox and Playstation button is different design, I don't think it's hard considering Playstation games in PC will automatically labels the button by what you're using, I played GOW and using gamesir which is based on Xbox controller and the game directly show Xbox button, for switch, yes, the symbol is same but the button is in different position, it's not the swappable button that much of the problem, it's just why Ayaneo not making software to changing their handheld layout in setting, AYN Odin has 2 different layout, one is for Xbox and One is Odin2 which is the same style as Switch, I don't think people need to see which button they see as long as their know either they use Xbox style or Switch style

It's probably pretty obvious when they're on correctly, as with comparable products you line it up push the button and it stays in place. Even if someone did lose one it wouldn't really be the end of the world, as I'm sure there's going to be someone selling aftermarket buttons for people who want different colors or PSX symbols or something. (I wouldn't be surprised if they throw some kind of extras in the box too, as they're just a cool company like that)

So steam deck is more affordable but is is better than the steam deck in terms of the experience of gaming on it? I like a good screen, and form factor also matters but I dont see it justifieable if there is too much difference between steam deck and this device.
