I have to say, I'm more impressed with the box than I am with the device! Too bad more manufacturers don't pay homage to the past with some good inspired, fun packaging! (although ASUS seems fairly creative) I don't know how you have time to get these things all setup, games loaded, etc., let alone make a great video.....just discovered your channel this year and I really enjoy your content. Keep up the great work! Cheers from the US and Happy New Year!

I went from a 2021 AyaNeo to a ROG Ally to a Slide and this is easily my favorite Windows based handheld. I also use it far more than my Steam Deck these days. My biggest complaint with the Ally, well after the SD card failures, was trying to deal with the pop up Windows keyboard and the way it shifted things on screen. Being able to slide the display up and have a full QWERTY keypad is a game changer for Windows handhelds and I hope to see more models like this

I've been _really_ excited to see more reviews for this one, considering this seems like it could double as a legit UMPC like those from 15 years ago. But I've heard that they've been slacking in QC & support, so I'm more interested in long-term reports.
@AdmiralBison8 ай бұрын
yeah. Ayaneo is doing pretty well and is beginning to solidify itself as a premium name for handheld gaming PCs, even becoming recognized among the bigger names like Asus, Lenovo and Valve's steam deck. however if Ayaneo wants to remain a premium brand and charge those premium prices, they also need to have a premium or at least adequate service. Establishing good customer relationships is beneficial to both consumers and the company as it establishes a reputation and brand loyalty. Even if customers have a bad product, that customer service relations can be a great deal in some assurance.

The "UUH...yuh...ni...o" 😋 slide is actually exciting, even those who don't like the form factor, what this shows is handheld gaming PCs are branching out with further diversity, innovative features and ideas. Future iterations will get better. Imagine an Ayaneo slide but instead of a keyboard had a second equally sized screen instead. Ayaneo slide duo screen.

For any youngsters watching, a VHS is like a DVD only a little bit less fragile, without a DVD menu, and you have to spend a good couple of minutes rewinding it after you've finished watching whatever video is on it. In other words, great if you're a nostalgia freak but terrible if you're someone who likes the practicality of not having to rewind the whole film once you're done watching it....also, if you have photosensitive epilepsy I recommend turning the TV off before pausing any VHS tapes; analog pause is not the same as digital pause.

Finally something NEW! Is the keyboard just large enough to be used normally, typing with all ten fingers? What about WASD gaming? Maybe with the analog stick instead of plugging in a mouse? A bit silly perhaps, but this thing has my head filled with ideas, it seems fun. Sad to hear it's an IPS and basically Bluetooth audio only. But for the right price point (likely wait for sale) I still might pick it up. Performance looks great for a handheld of this size.
@neumi5698 ай бұрын
No, too small for 10 fingers. While you can fit them on the are, you will most likely mistype all the time. . And I would not use it for WASD gaming. A stick would not give you the precision you have with a mouse. Better stick to gamepad controls and auto aim. For audio I grabbed a USB-C headphone. The keys area great for basically everything but gaming. It might come in handy if you attach a mouse and play old graphical adventures that use the letter at the beginning of the commands as shortcuts. The performance is about the same as on all other handhelds with that chipset +- some percent, depending on the situation

@neumi5698 ай бұрын
Yes, you can plug in everything USB based, this is a standard Windows PC. You can even connect multiple gamepads. You might want to grab a HUB tho. If you have the according USB device, you can even connect it to a TV or monitor. Ayaneo is offering such a docking station with HUB, SD card reader and HDMI port for about 190$, but there are by far cheaoer solutions for it that do the same job just as good. the Ayaneo docking station is just a bit more stylish.
