Before I watched the actual anime and fully understood what each video meant, this is what I thought happened in this video: A girl, Ayano, gets three new siblings, each adopted. They all have seen terrible things, and cried so much (hence the "red eyes"), so Ayano wanted to relieve them of their sadness by showing them that they could be heroes, so they would play together. When the mom died, the dad kind of lost it, and thought that getting rid of the three adopted children would bring his wife back. Ayano kills herself so that her father will grow more attatched to the adopted children, so they will be "one big happy family". Pretty far from what actually happened. ._.

The story coincides with the Kagerou Project manga and light novel, and they just released an anime last spring called Mekakucity Actors. If you want to know what happened I would suggest either finding the manga or watching the anime. (Although I have heard that the anime doesn't quite follow the manga/light novel.) I only say this because there is a lot to explain, such as the "red eyes" actually mean that the adopted kids have eyes that turn red, and this is because of.... Lots of spoilers =/. So yeah.

That's because whenever the og song gives English subtitles it's the direct translation Ppl who sing it in English/dub it have to change up the words so that it sounds better and makes sense

That's because of how drastically different the languages are, some subtleties that exist in one of the two languages are nonexistent in the other and then there's also stuff that can have multiple meanings in one language but only a very specific meaning in the other. And in addition to stuff that can be translated in multiple different ways there's also the fact that song lyrics have to match the melody and timing AND in addition to all that some people doing English covers may also allow themselves to take some artistic liberty

This song tells the story of Ayano's past. It starts off when Kido, Seto, and Kano are introduced to Ayano by her mother. They believe that they are monsters due to their red eyes, but Ayano cheers them up by saying that red is the color of heroes. Following, she shows them a picture book of a hero story while wearing a red scarf. Soon Ayano's mother dies due to an accident. Ayano tells herself that she has to be a good big sister and cheer her siblings up. One day she sees her dad planning an experiment on her friends, Takane and Haruka. Devastated by this, she tries to save them by committing suicide, and thus enters the Heat Haze.

I was able to watch Kagerou Daze and watching/reading the manga and anime I truly see Ayano Tateyama as someone we all know or we may be. Someone who is a hero and put others first, here Ayano was willing to die to save her three siblings, she knew they'd be hurt and Kano would no longer see her as a "Awesome hero" but even so she wanted to protect them all. Truly, your cover only points that out.

*(Spoilers ahead)* She didn't really die, though. Remember, you can only enter the Heat Haze if you are CLOSE to dying on August 15th during sunset. If multiple people enter, only one can go back while the others never come back. Ayano entered the Heat Haze alone though, so she's able to enter and leave the haze. She didn't leave so that Kuroha will have to find another way to fulfill Kenjiro's wish, and to save her siblings. The only reason why everyone thought she's dead is because Kano pretended to be Ayano's corpse. Although in the other routes, Ayano remained "dead" and never came back (For example, route XX where Kuroha kills the dan)

As an older sister, I always try to make my younger brother happy.. but he doesn’t really care at all, I’ve always been a loner at school and I lie to my parents and family about my friends that aren’t even my friends anymore. My older brother never really cared about me and I’m the only daughter in my family and my parents never really paid any attention to me especially my father, my mother was there for me, always. Katelynn Hueston She committed suicide to try and get those red eyes so she could understand the 3 children. She found out about this from her "fathers"? research notes. What she didn't know is that to return you needed to die in pairs. 1 would stay there and the other could return. This later leads into lost time memory where Shintaro commits suicide/dies (depending on route) and meets up with her in the haze. She can no longer return to the real world because she doesn't have a body to return to so she sacrifices herself to let Shintaro return.

You guys must be new... Welcome to my wo- I mean the KagePro Fandom. Here we sob over babies who constantly die. Things you might want to know when getting into the fandom are this. 1. There are these things called eye abilities. These are gained through a person being possessed by a snake. The snakes were once owned by a Medusa named Azami who used them to create a never-ending world called the 'Heat Haze'. 2. To gain an eye ability several things must happen: a. You must die with another person(supposedly someone you have a bond with). b. One of the people who dies must stay behind while the other leaves the 'heat haze' with a eye ability. 3. Mary had an eye ability because she was part Medusa(1/4 to be exact). This allowed her to have two eye abilities, the one she was born with and the one she gained from Azami's attempt rescue of her. 3. The three children in this video Seto, Kano, and Kido are not related by blood. They were orphans taken in by the Tateyama family. Seto's partner was his dog. Kano's was his abusive mother. Kido's was her sister. 4. It is implied that she became one of the other three's partner. My theory is she possibly became Haruka's partner and was forced/chose to stay behind because of this. That allows for Takane and Ene to be partners and Shintaro and himself to be partners and doesn't leave Haruka without a partner. However, this is only a theory. 5. Time loops are important. So far we have seen four different ways these event could play out. So far there is the ROUTE BADEND, ROUTE 1, ROUTE WTFWHY(Fan named. This is the route that the manga is detailing), and finally ROUTE GOODEND. However there are more then these four. It is a bit confusing and it's advised to look into all the material for the fandom. There is a manga, songs, and novel. There is an anime in progress, too. I will be glad to clarify anything else that you may want to know about this amazing, if heartbreaking series.Though, since you are new, I would advise strongly to venture away from the Kagecrack side of the fandom.
