J1 visa/student visa is not a pathway to residency in the US. One might graduate in the US, however employers only hire people with social security number issued by the US Government. Let's say, one graduates in the US and wants to stay through working visa, they need to find a company who is willing to sponsor them, and sponsoring someone is no joke. It takes a lot of money, time and resources. Unless exceptional background ang J1 visa holder, the company wouldn't consider you over costs, there's a lot of unemployed Americans too or permanent residents who are already in the US

sa us kse ang binibigyan ng mga work permit yung mga trabaho na talagang may shortage sila...minsan binibigyan na agad ng pr status like ng mga nurses.....kahit mag graduate ka sa us school di ka ma kaka pr kung di in demand ang experience mo

Very informative discussion. Ina, you don't need to look far to figure out why these changes are being implemented. The program is being exploited hence the government has to plug the loopholes. The new requirements will separate the real students from opportunistic individuals.

@@inanutshellvlog Prospective tenants should seek to understand or at least be familiar with the rules that govern the renting of properties. Ontario has the Residential Tenancies Act 2006 and I'm sure every other province has their version. The act defines the rights and responsibilities of both landlords and tenants. You'd be surprised what the tenant's rights are under the law.

First, PR is not a US visa. It is an immigrant visa. PR is a status. In the Us they call it greencard, not PR card. Second, J1 visa and F1 visa is not a pathway to become an immigrant in the US. J1 visa is exchange student visa. Some programs require you to go back to the PH and stay for 2 years. In order for you to stay in the US, you need an employer to sponsor you for an H1B or working visa. Same thing goes for F1 student visas. Hindi siya tulad ng Canada na may open work permit. And getting a working visa is much much harder kasi may quota silang visas per year. Also, it takes a lot of time and resources to process. If you're a nurse, matic na minsan ang immigrant visa sa US. Though there are some hospitals or health agencies require you to stay to "make up" for their sponsorship. You stay for 7 years on an H1B to emable to apply for a greencard. Another option is either you have families in the US that can sponsor you, be an investor (with 500k investment). Of course, things get faster if you can pay up huge lawyers' fees (Garfinkel?), to get at least an H1B.

I beg to disagree to your guest about J1 Visa. It depends on the Degree that you are taking. If it’s a medical course, it’s so easy. Just pass the NCLEX and that’s it. You will have your PR Visa for 10 years and after 5 years, you are eligible for a U S passport. That’s my friends experiences who are living their dream life in the US.
