Honestly i would have taken the 500k as well because as mr beast said himself "It will take 100 grand a year to maintain" So unless he sells the property for more than 500k or use the Factory as a attraction to make money off of visitors then he will not be making money.

The property value and the fact that it came from a mr beast and its based off of Willy Wonka's Chocolate party might make it above 500k but thats a gamble while 500k is not. Mr. Beast does this a lot on his videos its either A. Take a gamble to win a lot of money B. Take a fixed amount of money (10k or 5k or something) to drop out of the competition or smthn.

Book came first, then willy wonka and the chocolate factory (one the book writer didn't like cause they changed alot from the book even making charlie do something bad, fizzy lifting drinks situation), then charlie and the chocolate factory, (which the book writer liked because it catered more to his story and how the characters actual were depicted)

The book by roald Dahl was the og and then the first version of the movie Willy wonka and the chocolate factory changed the source material in unnecessary ways such as the nut room being replaced by a golden geese room and Roald Dahl HATED it he got close to no creative control he didn’t get the wonka he wanted he didn’t write the script he got nothing the movie was a disservice to roald Dahl and his work then the “remake” Charlie and the chocolate factory was made and it was the opposite of what the terribly hated by Dahl original film was the beloved Tim burton directed while felicity Dahl was executive producer and she said this was the movie Dahl wanted made from the book Johnny depp playing the amazing chocolatier himself Willy wonka the movie was even though it was at the dawn of cgi it was mostly practical and had much more dedication than the original movie like agustus gloops actor in the film feared water wore a heavy fat suit and didn’t even know how to speak English but he tried to make his performance work no matter what
