The Odin 2 Pro is freaking amazing, but it's just a bit more than a bit outside what I wanted to spend to upgrade from my GPD XD+. I just want my hand held to play retro games up to PS2 and GooglePlay, and found my retro soulmate with the RG556. But I still watch anything and everything on the Odin 2, it's such a phenomenal device. Awesome review and overview, thank you!

I got myself one some months ago, and I love it. I play it more than any other handheld/console I own. It's pricey, that's for sure. But to me, it's totally worth every penny given how much joy and relaxation it has given me. 9/10 is my score😊

Whats keeping it from being 10/10?

Mini Review from an owner: Pros: -clean look and very professional build quality, buttons and joysticks all feel expensive -battery life is excellent for such a small device, im getting 5+ hours of streaming Steam and am usually only down to 40% or higher -the display is actually extremely underrated based on specs alone. Would I be happier with an OLED at 120hz+, sure, but this 1080p LCD panel is super crisp and very saturated. I dont know how accurate the colors are, but they look stunning. I can still play AAA titles on this display and the only downside between it and my Asus gaming monitor is at 60hz, very fast panning looks a bit blury. Not bad at all!!! -great speakers for such a small device. It just sounds good, cant say much else. -the software is fantastic, feels very much like stock android, and the button mapping software is simple to use and has everything you need - even to set up button controls for MOBAs. Cons: -my particular unit has a bit of trigger squeek, i will oil the springs when i replace the buttons and probably fix this though -buttons are a bit small, but they fit the device size and i got used to them very quickly. Even though the joysticks are small, they are high quality and i replaced them with taller sticks -surprisingly small. I definitely felt from watching reviews it would be a larger device, and im glad i didnt get the Mini, because this device - though hard to pocket - is still very small. So for long gaming sessions, playing AAA games and shooters, i do get a bit of hand fatigue. However i did just order a grip, i think this will solve that issue. For retro games and lighter gaming, the size is actually very appealing and comfortable for most people I would imagine. Last thing I will say... I got this device about a month ago and have really put it through the ringer. I am extremely happy with my purchase!!! My only concern is when the Odin 3 inevitably comes out, it will probably have a better chip, a better OLED display, and a competitive price to outcompete Ayaneo with there new release of the Pocket S and Evo. I wont have enough time to really enjoy this thing before I get fomo for the newest version hahaha Cheers 🥂

I can’t put that thing in my pocket The Odin 2 mini seems more my jam and it probably would’ve been a perfect device for me if that was within my price range That said, the Odin 2 seems fantastic and definitely worth considering. Seems to be a one and done type device for sure
@OJAYSAN2 ай бұрын
Definitely both are one and done devices! Frankly speaking, I couldn’t see myself pocketing the mini or my rp4p. The latter is even thinner and I still have a hard time feeling comfortable with it in my pocket. So I can’t imagine how the mini would feel. I’m still considering to getting one just to see but we’ll see.

With 'Winlator' you can also play some older PC games, and more will become compatible over time.

I heard it’s got a bit of input lag. Did you notice it?
@OJAYSAN2 ай бұрын
Not really. I’ve been playing mainly single player games and lately zzz and wuwa and it’s been fine. I think those two I’d see what people were referring to but I didn’t notice anything that could be attributed to input latency.
@oW0LFP4CKo2 ай бұрын
I play Destiny 2 using SteamLink from my wife's PC and it's a great experience. I have not had any input lag at all, and I mostly stream games on Game Pass or Steam. I would suggest getting a grip and some thumb sticks from Etsy, it's a surprisingly small device and feels great out of the box, but up-sizing the grip and thumb sticks will feel much better for AAA shooters.

Is all pokemon games in 3DS is fully playable, no stutters or crashes or choppy audios? Because my main goal here is to play all pokemon games from [GBC to SWITCH] ( i will be happy enough with [GBC to 3DS], while I know switch still have some issues so it’s for switch not being fully playable) Also I love psp as well as a bonus point. Or I should go with the New 3DS XL? Where they can definitely play all pokemon games from GBC to 3DS if im not wrong. What advice and what decision would you suggest for the main goal I’m aimming for?
@OJAYSANАй бұрын
I think if you want guaranteed (or close to) 3ds support, the 3ds XL is the way to go. I've played X and USM and both run perfectly at about 10hrs each. Personally, I am willing to trade potential issues for an overall better gaming experience especially with scaling vs the 3ds xl.
@Blue_TsukiАй бұрын
@@OJAYSAN wait so for 3DS pokemon X and USM ran perfecly fine?? if thats the case all pokemon games in 3DS should be able to run perfectly right? but ya i totally agree to overall gaming experience vs the 3DS XL Then ya i think i am leaning towards the the Odin 2 and im sure in the future, 3DS emulation would be even more better to complete perfection one day right? and also switch emulation should be improving through time as well.

I notice the input lag in mario oddssey gameplay, do you feel the lag?
@OJAYSAN2 ай бұрын
Haven't yet for the first two levels I played
@thiagoaraujosАй бұрын
That will always be polemic. For the ones not sensitive to input lag, it doesn't exist. For the sensitive ones, the small difference is enough to bother, especially on games that require precision. The good news is that the Odin 2 Mini has snappier controls. I've felt 20 or 30 ms less than the Odin 2 Phat. Most people will probably not notice or care though.

well I have bought three different handhelds from different makers. one was the anbernic 351v nice little system for gba, snes, worked ok but had weird issues. Froze sometimes but overall was awesome. I bought a powkiddy x55 and crapped out after a week or two. And six months ago boought a retroid pocket 3+ tha has screen bleed. Im not really wanting to waste money on faulty systems
