This is a monumental achievement for the country. For centuries together one can now call Ayodhya as Lord Rama’s birth place. The govt has allocated a land to build the mosque nearby and has paved way for peaceful existence. Which country would do that ? How many Muslim nations destroyed the minority places of worship? How many Muslim nations are secular? Despite the dark history with Mughal invasions, India has been kind. We respect our Muslim brothers and sisters but also don’t want the identities destroyed. That’s where there needs to be a firm foot. Being a voice of minority and being against the majority are 2 different things. We have all learnt a good lesson from Jerusalem. Unless there’s a closure and straight forward action, the ambiguity will be the reason for more fights in the future.

We talk about reprations from the British to India for the colonial rule. The Zameendar Act is nothing but doing what's right with the intent of being fair.. With the same intent of being fair, Tens of thousands of Temples have been destroyed over decades. It still happens, right now- when the Govt fails to protect the Hindu Interest. From idols beind stolen, to land being lost, to having no control over the finances to manage temple operations, let alone do out-reach work (something all other religions do) - do you think its unfair that Hindus feel abandoned? A faith which is so interwoven in science and everyday life, completely sacrified? Do we even know what we're losing? In Tamil Nadu, where Tamil Literature and spirituality are so interwoven, by going the atheist/Dravidian route, we have failed to study the best of Tamil literature. How richer would our thoughts and diction be, if we learned Thirupaavai and Thevarams? It is impossible to be a scholar of Tamil literature and ignore spirituality - it's seamlessly integrated. Do we even know the hyms and prose we've lost, simply because the party in power, chose to abandon God? By white washing history, you're not abandoning God, but abandoning your own self and generational wisdom. Coming back to the issue at hand, Lakhs of temples destroyed. The Hindu community is asking for just 3-4 to be established. Out of which, Ayodhya, Mathura and Kasi Vishwanath are proven birthplaces or places of impact of our most revered Gods. Is the community asking for all mosques which were built on temples to be returned? No. Are they asking for anything but just these 3-4 divine sthalams, which are simply not compromisable? Babri Masjid and the other Mosques at these locations are not that important to Muslims but are fundamental to Hindus. Why can't, for once, the Hindu point of view be considered. Is Secularism nothing but the sacrifice of Hindus? I'd like to think that I'm secular. I truly don't discriminate. But why do I have to sacrifice my religion to be secular? Both are true, I am secular and I support the building of the Mandir. It's not binary. Can we not stop for a second, and think from the Hindu POV? Have we not lost anything? Are we to take all the blame? It's not easy for the Muslims, I'm sure. I'm sure you feel defeated and less than. But don't be butt hurt. Please, extend your congratulations with grace. The Hindu side won this fair and square. Lets shake hands and continue to live in harmony & move on - as we Hindus always have. And for God's sake. Please stop with the headlines, "Temple built on a destroyed Mosque'". The headline is this - "Ram Jan Bhoomi RECLAIMED and reconstructed, 500 years after it was demolished by Babar".
