One of the biggest appeal of Jojo is how absurd and weird it is. On the outside it can be gross and not that exciting, but once you get into, you discover the sheer creativity and heart put behind the powers and the situations sprinkled with goddamn great characters. Its like a battle-shounen, but every single character has a very different power, to the point where you cannot find anything even remotely similar in anime.

Don't worry about the frog. In that scene, a guy demonstrates his power by punching the frog and channeling his energy _through_ it, which ends up destroying the rock it was resting on. The frog is shown to be perfectly fine afterwards. ...On the other hand, the blond guy you saw at the start of the video? One of the first things he does on-screen is kicking a dog. And yes, the animal abuse gets MUCH worse.

Jojo is one of those anime where if you try to predict what's going to happen you're just going to feel like a dumbass. Which is pretty rare imo, a lot are severely entrenched in the same old tropes. In some ways it's best to just turn your brain off, watch, try not to guess too hard about what's going to happen and enjoy.

Don’t take this as a sign to not watch JoJo’s. There are some weirds scenes but it’s almost entirely a funny and action anime. Lots of fighting, great story, and lovable characters.
