The show runner knew exactly what they were doing when they made this show. And they made it very well. Amusingly this reminds of one of the stories from Hero Messageboard, where some of the retired heroes got on their colleague the Sky Garden hero because he kept using his magic to summon the resident hero and lead component of a combiner robot that runs on "smiles" because it was cool.

I read the manga before, so I know I am looking forward to this anime adaptation. And this adaptation did not disappoint. I like how this obvious isekai anime is also done in a Sentai way, will full of Sentai action and even the background music are replaced with Sentai music + lyrics too. Oh wait, they didn't stop there, they even have Sentai actors played the parts of the Sentai members (excluding Red) and the villains, which made me question is that ONE general going to be voiced by a past Sentai actor as well? I might be thinking way ahead. Anyways, this anime is great. I really recommend to this to anyone who is a Sentai or non-Sentai fan. For those who can't stand the fan service by Idora, can't help you there, unless you want to watch the censored version by Bilibili. Thank you so much for the review as always, and please take your time with them. P.S. There is a difference I see from the manga and anime. In the manga, the mech's cockpit is more of a Showa style, while the cockpit in the anime felt more like the modern version we see today.

This was pure gold. Over the top and pure fun. Was laughing so hard at him constantly pulling out different weapons or always causing explosions! Totally get the female lead falling for him within half a day. Just being a total hero the whole time and saying things that can easily be taken the wrong way. Gotta love it!

One thing i want to point out the title name of this first episode is a pretty nice callback to kiramager (literally is what kiramai red) Also curious as a go-onger fan (it was my first intro into sentai) where you put sosuke esumi aka go on red

I just finizhed watching this episode and immediately looked for any reviews, since I was still starved for content. I was squealing through the whole henshin sequence and laughing out loud from all his cheesy attack names. this was a riot for a tokusatsu fan. I doubt a non-fan would understand. it's the same reaction you'd get from any fan of a franchise whether it was star wars, star trek, gundam, mcu or harry potter die-hard fans out there. you just won't get it, but frankly I don't think anyone would really care. I loved all the easter eggs and callbacks.

That red may be a hard B maybe even a B- when it comes to tokusatsu but as a Isekai protagonist? Yeah way waaaaay higher like at least the textbook A (it's actually a hero).

Also there's a reference to Abaranger (Dino Thunder). If you can see Kizuna Red's mecha...it resembles a T-rex. The way it runs and roars is similar to how Bakuryuu Tyranno/Tyrannozord runs when it was called to the battle

Considering that Kamen Rider Faiz series has tiny memory modules so using bandaid as the henshin item is not far fetched at all. The real concern as veteran tokusatsu fans of Japan pointed out is that if this is real kids might ruin entire packs of real bandaids at home which will piss off the parents so would be rejected by the marketing department on that basis. EDIT: the whole mecha warping thing is explained later in the manga, though it's unlikely the anime will reach that point in this season. Also the Red here being more like Deka Red that's just leaning a bit towards more muscle than brains can't figure out how to get back home anyway without help (unlike say the Bouken Red from Boukenger or Goukai Red from Goukaiger). The story also gets less comedy focused and more serious and turns into an honest-to-goodess sentai/rider show that won't feel out of place in the proper toei sentai timeline. Also the fight in the first few chapters is not a representation of the fights later on in the story, which will get SUPER heated and actually goes beyond what real life tokusatsu can do since the medium is different and have less constrains compared to filming. So think of this as just an appertizer for the meal.
