I hope you know what a service you provide to the tens of thousands of people that must watch your channel I also live in Arizona and I'm a long distance truck driver getting ready to buy my first motor coach and like you I love to geek out over the little things that make a big difference! You remind me of my brother Les! He was the next level technician on everything from heavy equipment common cars to HVAC pretty much anything technical and I think that's why I love to watch your channel you have that same sort of passion of expertise so thank you for these videos they're more than helpful there a necessity!

Tiffins in that year group had 3 major issues. Roof rail separation, wet bay floor rotting and DS slide floor deterioration. These 3 should have been addressed by Tiffin in Red bay. Also leak at front door which can rot out the wood under the bottom step.

Merry Christmas James and team, thank you all for being great teachers in RV Restoration. I think you realize some of us who love our campers and RV's really can't afford to hire you for repairs, so unselfishly you step by step show us how to do the repairs ourselves.. because of what you and the team do, I now have a new roof on my 2004 camper! For that I want to thank all of you. Thank you very much

Being an automotive painter, and since it's black, I would sand that wrap over edge down real good to the paint line on the roof, you could put a thin coat of two stage plastic filler in the cracks, I would, but that is more sanding lol, then spray with some black epoxy sealer, and follow that with some black two stage black urethane, no clear necessary, I would also tape off the front and rear caps at the top over to where they start to roll over and paint those areas as well, that high up, you would never know, and on the caps it would be a faint tape line.
@AZExpert2 жыл бұрын
Glad I don't do paint! :)

@@AZExpert yeah, I wouldn't want to have to that either, I've never painted on anything that big, my hats off to the custom painters who do the higher end coaches. I will probably wind up with a dog on the outside, and will probably have to attempt it.

Thanks for the tour! Seems like a lot more care was put into the construction of this coach than many that are built today. One could buy this coach and put a little refresh money into it and probably be better off then new.

I’m learning so much by watching your channel. I really appreciate your dedication to buying a used motorhome and things to watch out for. I think every decent dealership should employ your services as it definitely provides us with the security of knowing that you have gone over the coaches from top to bottom. Even private sellers should consider using your services. Thank you once again. May 2022 bring you much happiness and success.

Love the logo shirt James! Tiffins are my overall favorites as well. They are a tremendous value new, compared to other high-end coaches, but their real value in my opinion is the used market, allowing you to get into a high-quality, proven coach at a reasonable cost. I would rather have one of these than a brand new production-level gasser for sure. Merry Christmas to you and your family James

James I have purchased a 2010 Tiffin Allegro Bus 43QGP . I go and pick it up this Friday. From the pictures I've see this motorhome really looks good. I have my Jeep Grand Cherokee ready to flat tow back home. I got this motorhome for around 145k dollars. I have already ordered the TPMS tire monitor system with 14 transmitters should be here by Thursday. I will let you know when I get this motorhome in my drive way and that alone is going to be a task. Jeff Steele

James: quick question if I may. Have a 2003 Tiffin phaeton and have an issue with the rear air pressure gauge (w22-00008-000 or 01 also KYS 6913001611 made by Borgwarner) in the dash. I think the gauge is not good but impossible trying to find the replacement (front or rear gauge not minding the printed label on it). I think they are obsolete. can not find anything compatible. what are the newer models are using as air pressure gauges ? is it possible to upgrade the air pressure gauges system as the ones being used on newer models ? thanks.

Well I'm in the waiting to sale everything and purchase my first motorhome. I live in Alabama and Tiffin is around 60 miles for where I live. I want to purchase a Tiffin for sure and would be interested in purchasing an older one if I had to. I'm looking for a 43 to 45 foot motorhome. With it being me and my wife that extra bathroom is almost a must. L would love to purchase a Zephyr because of the engine size would make it easier to go up big mountains. I wish I had just a fraction of your knowledge about roofs on motorhomes. If you were going to put in your own solar system how would I know where to put screws and how deep should the screw be ? I'm scared that I might go into the motorhome and look up and see my screws lol. I have and will be watching your video because they give and some ideals that I need to do in order to keep my motorhome in tip/top shape. Thanks for letting me watch and learn from your videos !

Merry Christmas James! So for gelcoat fiberglass use the 311 silicone sealant you linked. Correct? Suggestion, you might show a roof wash and wax sometime. Up here in Missouri, the hard rain pretty much kept the TPO roof clean. Will see if the same is true for the fiberglass on our new used one. Best wishes to you and your family! Respectfully, Kevin

My 2010 Bus has a roof that is delaminating and has soft spots and is spreading so I am pretty sure water is getting in.. It has started to leak at the front overhead cabinets. I cannot find where it is coming in. It has destroyed the bottom of the overhead pass side cab. After a recent move it no longer shows up. I fear it is just getting in where I cannot see it. I have looked and looked on the roof for any suspicious spots and have sealed over those places but did not help.

You have to be kidding. How manny products at any level are “supported” by the factory, builder etc even after 10 years? The two questions are easy: how well built originally, and how well maintained by earlier owners.
