This is almost unbelievable ... in as I am amazed at 2 things and not how it is constructed but 2 other things. One is the tow driver. What on earth were any of the people involved in this RV's towing thinking about when making their decisions on how yo bring it in off the road?!? The other is WOW .... finding a full front cap with all the fixins is pretty amazing to me. No grafting, splicing or dicing. Don't know if that is SOP or dumb luck, but dang....pretty cool.

I’m at a loss for words why they towed it like that. They should be held liable for that damage. Totally unnecessary. I was on a simple motorcycle crash once. A HD Roadking. Guy basically rolled off the bike at slow speed, medical issue. The bike was on the front and rear crash bars. Just sitting there. Cops called a tow truck. I asked why. I put the kickstand down, walked it back and set it on the kickstand. Started it. Drove it to the shoulder. Yes, I ride. His buddies asked if they could drive it home. Officer???? Ok I guess it’s fine. Yes, it’s safe to ride. 🤦🏼. They rode it home. They should have drove that RV off the road. Use a wrecker to wheel tow it. Good luck 👍🏼

Reading the video description and viewing to timestamp 0:18, my first thought brought me back to my childhood, where I witnessed a truck camper being blown over at speed on the highway. The camper exploded like a house of cards. Though there were injuries to the occupants in the camper, none were life threatening. Soon after witnessing the accident, my Dad traded in our beloved truck and camper for an Open Road Class A, which touted a steel safety cage. FYI, we never had the chance to test the safety cage structural integrity and Open Road's safety claim. My wife and I will retire in 2 years. Viewing the channel has educated us to the build quality of diesel pushers. We are considering a Prevost XL based coach, a late 90's Newell, or a HDT RV Conversion and a stacker trailer with living quarters. We do not plan to full time RV. Rather, we plan to return to homebase mid November through early March. Recommendations or comments?

The ratchets could have been easily covered to protect the coach.... What a shame. I had to be towed out because I slide off the road in winter. Had to sign a waiver for damage liability. Tow truck driver proceed to connect to a rod on the multilink suspension. I told him he needed to wrap it around the rear suspension craddle. He said he has been doing this for a decade and and expert. I had to threaten to get another driver for him to correctly wrap around the rear suspension cradle. He later said it was a good idea, since those links he attached to bends after pulling the car out because they are weak but easy to get to 😒. Hopefully, this non towing novice taught the expert something that day. 😆
