How Does this GOLD Standard RV Roof Look After 15 Years?

Should be bringing home the 2007 Monaco Dynasty Palace III by this weekend. It had a cracked exhaust manifold on the Cummins ISL so the dealer took it to Cummins to have the work done, and I'm super glad the fix is being handled by Cummins instead of at the dealership. I'm also glad I discovered this problem during the inspection, which I was much more prepared for thanks to your excellent videos. The roof on it is, fortunately, pristine. I even used the "James Patented Knee Nudge" on all three A/C units. And the "Panaslide" whole-wall slideout makes the interior absolutely humongous, which is what sealed the deal for my wife.

We have the same rig in 08' absolutely love it. The roof system is incredible. They just dont build them like this anymore.

Thanks to your video about True Toppers I no longer have to worry about my slide out toppers pulling on those side seams because I had them installed this past May and absolutely love them.

Good job James. I still haven’t made it over yet but I’ll be heading your way soon. No matter what I find I would like you to carry out my inspection 😊 It’s good to see prices going down to a more realistic level. I’ve noticed that new RVS are not being finished well and are loosing their grip on the market substantially. If they don’t pull up their standards I can see several of what was considered the top of the market simply going out of business. It’s far better to buy a well looked after used motorhome in my opinion than leaving the lot with a new motorhome that has an incomplete build, shoddy workmanship and loosing 40% of the value. Someone has to come up with a system that lowers carbon emissions before the older vehicles are banned in certain States. It’s time for a revolution in the RV industry! Be well and be safe. Nice catch with that cable entry point at the front cap. And that’s why I’ll be booking some time with you in about 11 months before I purchase our motorhome. The Realtor in me almost had a heart attack when you pulled that loom from under the sealant. My jaw hit the ground. I’m assuming that issue will be dealt with by the seller immediately before any chance of rain. Outstanding inspection!👍🏼😎

Camelot is actually pretty high in the lineup. I believe it is the successor of my Windsor which is 3rd in the lineup. And it shares a lot of features like the seemless room with my Windsor.

Thanks for the inspection videos. I am in the process of finding a 4 season 5th wheel and the manufacturer I am looking at has fiberglass roofs on some models. Now I know a lot more of what to look for. With some dealers I am on my own for inspections which kind of sucks. However with each camper and your videos I learn something new each one I look at.

The lack balance panels just means less spots for leaks. Love my 2003 Monaco Signature no problem with roof.

Loved the video James thanks so much ! James sometime back I purchased a 2007 Western Alpine Coach Limited S.E. 40' motorhome. It came with 4 hydraulic slide out basement doors, front hydraulic generator slide out in front with the fuel fill entry there. It has an Aqua-hot 450 DE and hydraulic brakes as well. It has a residential side by side refig and air lock sliding back closet back closet doors. A huge shower and sink with closed in toilet and cabinet. The motorhome only had 29,000 miles on it when I purchased it . We have had a few issues in which the dealer help to pay for after purchased. I gave $84,000 for it about 6 months ago. Please let me know you option on this coach if you don't mind. I would really appreciate you option ! Jeff

Great videos, I'm looking at buying a 2009 Holiday Rambler Scepter. The roof looks good, with the exception of severe oxidation. I thinking it's beyond a, wash & wax, what would you recommend to put on it for protection and stop the chalking it's causing on the sides? Keep up the great information.

Where do you get most of your parts and moldings, etc. for DP repairs? I found a ladder end cap on eTrailer. But now I need 40' of D shaped vinyl molding that goes over the aluminum roof side rails. Somehow it came loose and wound up in the awning...

depends if it is peeling, loose, or really thick. But it does need to be cleaned before sealing over the top of it.
