From three hours north of Toronto Canada my wife and I and two others rode our bikes down to stand on that corner, we did 16 states in 22 days over 10,000 km and what a trip it was to stand there with my wife and my bike. That was two weeks ago

Winslow is also noted for its railroad history. The famous hotel architect Mary Colter designed the LaPosada Hotel for the Santa Fe railway which has been beautifully restored. In the early years of cross country flying planes would fly during daylight, land at Winslow and passengers would transfer to a train to travel at night or stay at the hotel.
