As my wife and I were traveling across America (2023), she said this trip was everything she wanted to see on her Bucklist. She turned to me and said , what do you want see? I want to "Stand on a Corner in Winslow Arizona". So it was off to Arizona we went. Listening to the Eagles, and traveling across the desert was something I will never forget. I'm blessed to have grown up in a time with the best music ever recorded. The Eagles are timeless.

The Eagles are one of those really timeless acts that never get old and they are still amazingly consistent, even without Glenn. If you ever pass through Winslow, Arizona, please stop and stand on the corner. Winslow is a small town with a lot of charm and they have an extraordinary amount of Eagles merch and memorabilia!

Been there, done that. Back in 1993 I was on an amazing road trip through the SW US and took a very minor detour just to go see Winslow Arizona with that song blasting on my cassette player in my 1992 Nissan 240SX...It was a moment. 😁

Absolutely! I was on a Greyhound bus stopped on a corner in Winslow back in 1980 and all I could think about was this song! Also check out one of my other favorites “Melissa “ feat. Jackson Browne and Gregg Allman!

If any drummers out there want a lesson about how to play for the song on the drums, listen to Don Henley. He’s a human metronome and only plays what’s needed for the song. Masterclass.

He'll freezes over tour. I was born in 1969 and grew up with their music. But seeing them live. !! Each individual, equally talented and featured was so enlightening entertaining and humbling experience. I hope they each know how appreciated they are

The best rock and roll band of all time in my opinion. I grew up as a teen listening to the Eagles and have listened to them for over fifty years. Got most of their music on vinyl albums, CD’s or downloaded. I’ll miss them when they are gone.

I have not seen the Eagles without Glenn Frey. I see they are playing the Sphere in Vegas again in January. I'm in SW Colorado, an eight-ish hour drive away. I think I would be wise to take advantage of this opportunity while I can. I'm 64 and experiencing the emotions that come with some of my absolute favorite rock n roll people passing on, notably Glenn Frey, Jimmy Buffett, and Christine McVie. I don't think the Eagles can survive losing another member. I better get my butt to Vegas next month! Sorry for the melancholy mood of my comment here. I've loved the Eagles since the late seventies, and Take it Easy has always been my favorite song. If I hear them playing, no matter the situation, location, or whatever, I am singing along!

Well I'm a-running down the road trying to loosen my load I've got seven women on my mind Four that want to own me, two that want to stone me One says she's a friend of mine Take it easy, take it easy Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy Lighten up while you still can Don't even try to understand Just find a place to make your stand and take it easy Well I'm a-standin' on the corner in winslow, arizona With such a fine sight to see It's a girl, my lord, in a flatbed ford Slowin' down to take a look at me Come on baby, don't say maybe I've got to know if your sweet love is gonna save me We may lose and we may win But we will never be here again Open up I'm climbin' in to take it easy Well I'm a-running down the road trying to loosen my load Got a world of trouble on my mind Lookin' for a lover who won't blow my cover She's just a little hard to find Take it easy, take it easy Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy Come on baby, don't say maybe I've got to know if your sweet love is gonna save me You know we got it easy We oughta take it easy Come on, take, take it easy
