They have everything and more off Yuma rd and Watson Walmart, Lowe’s , Home Depot, all the restaurants. But if you’re gonna show Buckeye like this then don’t come here 😂😂 they have all of Cali living here. Do your research. My parents still live in the same home out of old town. @@bearmcquade2846 yes, every state has some physical beauty to behold as well, such as Hawaii and Alaska, our newest states. While I feel safe in the parking garage and walking to my building, I will never stop for gas or groceries ANYWHERE near my office. $350,000 for a house in a run-down, high crime area in Phoenix is mind-boggling. Winslow surprised me for all the negatives, especially the high crime. I've lived in Tucson and you definitely want to avoid South Tucson. I would not want to deal with the bad traffic in or near Phoenix. Except for the fact Kingman is a main hub between Vegas and Phoenix and it's on I-40 on the way to Los Angeles. You'd think after 35 years we'd have more things. Last 10 years I've watched nothing but dollar stores, fast food, weed shops, and hotels being built. The second hospital was forcibly shut down by the crooks at KRMC. The local townies that own chains don't want competition so they have a say of what they want (or don't want built). Our city council is highly corrupt and refuse to let any businesses that have a reputation for being "left" so no Costco, Target, Perkins, Amazon, etc. Can't even get a second Walmart. Not trying to be political, but it's their words, not mine. The families that own businesses here have their relatives in office to keep the status quo going. Yet, the locals keep saying "It's growing just you wait!". Some of the locals here have anger issues, hope you like hearing the F-word and them bitching about Democrats all the time. This place has been hard R forever and they've always called the shots. 35 years... it had 35 years. Bullhead used to be smaller than Kingman, but now it has exploded with an airport of all things. This town had so much potential to be more than a dirty trucker hub/retirement community. Yet we've LOST businesses and the druggies/homeless situation is getting worse. Also the job market here is awful. Lots of minimum wage and hard labor factory jobs. Many places you'll do the work of three people for 15/hr. If you're a nurse, doctor, dentist, or sales, you'll do fine. If you're in finance, tech, education, it's not so great. Think we had a bunch of remote consultants move out here that really drove prices up. They could have built a data center out here, we could have had a second hospital yet instead they want to polish the turd that is route 66. The downtown did get fixed up, but the north part of Andy Devine from the park could use some work. Just paid off all remaining debts so now I'm saving up to move. I've had enough.

Interesting video. We, then my parents and I lived in Phoenix, NE, 16th St and E Colter, back in 1976 when it was much smaller. We lived in Schultz Apt then for a rent of $225.00 a month for a two bedroom, with one bath. My wife and I went back to Phoenix in 2003, and the apartment Bldg was still there. We liked going for steaks at Monte's Cada Vieja, Restaurant, near ASU in Tempe, where I had eaten there with my parents too, now closed. I remember a place called Big Surf near Phoenix, which has closed. We went up the road to Payson, NE of Pnx, much bigger when my wife and I went back there in 2003. We stayed at the Holiday Inn, then, on Bend Road, in Scottsdale. I saw Metrocenter closed to. There used to be a Piccadilly Cafeteria near us, Bashas Supermarket. I also think I remember Phoenix itself was around a population of 500,000. My Father, recently then recently retired, bought a new Olds Cutlass from Edward's Oldsmobile in Phoenix, and gas in Phoenix was about 50 cents a gallon back then. I remember, Glendale, was a cheaper place for a basic home, around $20,000 back in 1976. 😊

You know everyone has their opinions on certain areas cities towns etc... But I was born and raised in South Phoenix and I would not want that any other way... every city has its bad areas .. back in the 90s crime was high a lot was going on back then but now it's grown so big there's new houses and new communities almost on every block, there are new apartments and condos going up everywhere ...convenience stores are getting knocked down or rebuilt, but it's just like anywhere else depends on who you hang around with and where you choose to be ..No matter where you go there's going to be drugs and crime ... Those things are always easily picked on or South Phoenix has that reputation but I love it here. downtown has changed so much as well before used to be like a little town but now you have these colleges you got condos grocery stores even downtown Phoenix. You never hear about the crime or the drugs that go on in South Scottsdale? Or downtown Tempe.. Drugs and crime are everywhere ...at least there's no school massacres /hate crimes making HEADLINES... The Prescott / Prescott Valley area is becoming like Phoenix. Not enough infrastructure for the amount of people moving here. We don't have enough grocery stores in Prescott Valley but they keep building homes, apartments, low income tiny homes all crammed together. In the process of building two more hotels, all of which block mountain views. If you want good medical care be prepared to drive to Phoenix. The newer homes they are building are built cheap. Traffic on 69 is a death trap. 89A is also like a race track. It's freezing in winter and we had a LOT of snow.last winter. It's always windy. Like everywhere else, its changed the last 10 -15 years. All the growth is where the Proghorn used to roam, now its rare to see them. People move here thinking it's a small town, then complain its to crowded after they get here. Most tourists go to the events at Prescott square, get a break from the summer heat and drive around Jerome and Sedona. Home and rental prices are outrageous. @@jbee6954 yes, sorry to hear that, but years ago, 70's, 80's, they, city planners, used to call that phenomenon, the "Los Angelesizing" of America, it's happened everywhere, unfortunately. Go to Virginia and it looks like parts of L.A. What a nice model for the country eh, Los Angeles! That's where I once grew up, in the 50's and 60's; when Disney Land was truly Disney, not some woke abomination of it, and when CA it was actually a good place. Of course, we had responsible sane governors and mayors then, both democrat and republican. But not now, not anymore, we have communists and traitors, and their sympathizers, on both sides, everywhere!!

I lived in Tucson in the early nineties and worked at a place that handled deliveries. We had several sections on South Tucson where if an order came in we just cancelled it as undeliverable, and refused to go out, because there had already been too many robberies and at least one driver death. OTOH I grew up in the middle of nowhere near San Simon in Cochise County, and even today the best I can say about it is that there's no murder rate because you gotta have people to have murders first lol...and San Simon has precious few people.

The north side of town right along highway 10 is more booming, homes are all newer with new construction popping up weekly as well as many retail centers.

here in Western Pennsylvania. my mailman often spoke of how he wants to move to Arizona. He said that he put his papers in requesting a transfer as soon as there is an opening in Arizona. he said he’s ready for a change. He doesn’t like snow which, we get about 20 inches of snow a year. He doesn’t like the cold weather, it very rarely goes below 10° here at night in the winter. During the days, it generally goes up to or near 32° during the winters… so finally an opening in Arizona post office, located in Phoenix. My mailman sold everything. He wasn’t taking with him in a garage sale, and he packed up and left for Phoenix. He said goodbye, and he was gone. 10 days later, I saw him driving his jeep on his route delivering mail again here. I asked him what’s up? I thought you were gone for good , I thought you had it with cold weather and winter.. he said, he never felt comfortable, even walking down the street. He said many people had bars on their windows of their homes and businesses, even on the second floor. He said a woman in his apartment building had all four of her tires stolen from her car while in the parking lot… she had just got the car back a month earlier from being stolen.. he said, not too many people go out to restaurants at night. You don’t see people walking around at night when it’s cooler on the streets. He said there is a tension in the air you could feel. The people look at you, it’s like they’re scared of you… so he had just so many days to go back to his old position here in Western Pennsylvania. And he jumped on it after just four days… he said he is now looking forward to winter and snow. He said he didn’t know how green it was here till he came back. He said everything out there is brown or Tan. winter really only lasts about 10 weeks here. and of those 10 weeks, we really only get about four orfive snow events where are you get maybe two or 3 inches, rarely do we get more than 4 inches overnight, then it’s gone a few days later usually.. we don’t have droughts, we don’t get hurricanes, we don’t get earthquakes, we only get about 60 totally cloudless days a year, that’s why the skin cancer rate here is the lowest in the country. I asked him if he had ever been to Phoenix before or if he had relatives or friends living there. He said no he had never been there and he doesn’t know anybody there. I told him he did if he had friends or relatives there, or even if he had just visited the place, it would look a lot different. I told him he should’ve gave it a chance. I told him I would like to go to Phoenix… i’ve often thought of moving to Arizona. I’m sure there would be an easy time for me to get a job since I am an HVAC air-conditioning technician.. although, I really don’t like temperatures above 82°. When it hits 90 which is about three or four days a year here, I don’t even go in my pool. I stay in air conditioning. I just ain’t used to heat like they get in the Southwest

My husband worked in Verrado, it's just extremely overpriced and they have nothing to do there. But a movie theater is going up there. As for buckeye Tartesso, amazing, we do have to drive 12 min to any store or gas station, but there is about every store, and restaurants here. More people are moving here, then anywhere else, they are building new homes all over, the wait list to get a new construction is 12-18 months, huge growth.I have 3 close friends who are realtors and they said you just don't know about the huge growth.

Buckeye Verrado is north of I-10 and west of Litchfield Park which is nice but yes far from everything. I always know that anything west of Central from Baseline to Bell Road is not very good to live in. The bad areas move west which currently is anything west of I-17 to Loop 101 from south of Baseline to north of Bell Road.
