So, to explain the second duel: Their basically playing with Duelist Kingdom rules as a lot of people already pointed out.. In addition to that they're also using the card effects from there, which makes sense. That means that: -> normal summoning of monsters lvl. 5+ doesn't require tributes -> you can't attack directly -> monsters are summoned in face-up defense position -> Imperial Order's cost isn't mandatory, if you don't want to pay it's removed -> Mirror Force reflects the attack, what means that you could indeed technically reply with another Mirror Force (but his monsters were in defense, that's why nothing happened) -> Graverobber does not have a cost and can steal basically any card from the grave -> Metalmorph let's the equipped monster gain half of the ATK of it's attack target

Mirror Force comes from the Anime/Manga. That duel looks like they're copying Season 1 of the anime. 2000 lifepoints, no Tribute Summoning, monsters cannot attack directly, and Mirror Force's effect fired the attack back at the attacker, as if it was an attack.

So instead, they resolved it by just destroying Sword-Arm, which would send the Metalmorph to the graveyard. Of course, this is a miscalculation on both of their parts since Sword-Arm has +500 DEF from his cards, but still. 13:36 - Well, that one's pretty easy to figure out. Magic Arm Shield takes Serpent Night. Serpent Night becomes the new target and no damage is inflicted. Then, Serpent Night returns to the field. They just didn't see it necessary to do all that since nothing changed. And of course, since they're using the season 1 anime rules, odds are that they're ignoring extreme costs like 2000 LP from Graverobber. That's what they did in the anime, after all. Same thing with Mai Valentine's Mirror Wall. There is a method to the madness and the mistakes made are understandable for newcomers. They're using season 1 style of play and effects. Like in season 1 metalmorph just makes your monsters immune to spell effects, and you don't need to tribute to play monsters. You also can't attack directly.

In anime, graverobber has no cost and mirror force can be chained to mirror force. They're only doing anime duels with anime decks, effects and rules. Also, Magical Arm took control of the defense position monster, which means it was 2400atk vs 2400def, which means no monsters are destroyed. And 2000lp means Duelist Kingdom's rules so monster can't attack directly. Looking at how this duel is going on, they are roleplaying on discord or something like that. Anyway, it's an anime duel

Winson Yu actually pre-prep can add a ritual spell that lists a specific monster and that monster so while vendread origin can special summon ANY vendread, it also LISTS vendread slayer later in the effect so it works fine

When he used Magical Arm Shield if he grabbed the defend positioned monster which had 2400 defence monster then it would 'negate the attack' in a sense since it wouldn't be able to destroy the monster nor cause any damage to his own LPs so the attack would do jackshit making it close enough to a negate.

AZnEyesWhitedragon [slaydra ygo]: Imperial order as not been nerf in duelist kingdom. and since they start with 2000 life points, the optional metainance cost should be 125 life points. so the cost his divided by 4, and damage by card effect his also divided by 4, if it does not specified take half the total attack as card effect damage, card that increase life points are also divided by 4 unless it his a become, or gain half your current life points, you cannot attack dirrectly, no tributed to normal summoned lv5 or higher however egyptian god still need 3 tributes to normal summoned. Graverobber does not give damage to the user in duelist kingdom, and in duelist kingdom you start with 2000 life points. If a card effect destroy a monster by card effect, and that card effect does not deal damage, the controler lose 30 lifepoints per monster destroy by card, if it his a spell card destroy by card effect 20 life points, trap card destroy by card effect 10 life points. If it his banish by card effect monster 60 life points, spell 4o life points, and 20 life points for trap, the field boost the attack by 30% of the original attack, and defense of the type it shows on the field spell. if it really was the duelist kingdoom rules he can only change one monster into defense position, the other one have to stay in attack.
