I should have mentioned this in my earlier post. Harqua was a maintenance-of-way camp for railroad workers. These camps were spaced about 10 miles apart, and each crew maintain their section of road. There were similar camps at Montezuma, Hyder, Horn, etc., down the line. Finding information on the exact architecture and use of each building has eluded me, despite visits to several museums, societies, etc. I suspect the large concrete-floor buildings were dormitories, and the house was for the section crew foreman. There was also a well and a water tank. A tank is still standing at the Horn camp, approximately 30 miles west of Harqua. Harqua siding held 4 cars, which were undoubtedly equipment/outfit cars for the crews. As near as I can determine, the camps were abandoned and razed about 1960 when they changed the way the crews worked.

Really awesome video. I drove the Agua Caliente Road back in the spring in my 2010 "2wd" :) F150 after I had new KO2s put on and checked the truck out with my mechanic. I live in Laveen. I've finally got a rooftop tent similar to yours I'm just getting in overlanding and your videos are inspiring; thankyou.

You may already be aware of this, but the mine entrance has now been sealed with heavy steel bars. So, no more getting to explore inside. Glad you got to see it when you did! Thanks again for all of your great work!

I love your channel. I’ve been checking your website lately for off road trails. We did the box canyon in Wickenburg last week. It was a great experience. Thanks for all that you do. Keep up the good work

Another great video! You do your research for sure. I have the same deflators, Staum... the real ones. So many knockoffs these days. Only accurate +/- 3lbs it seems. Same for you? I have a Viair 400 automatic compressor to pump them back up.

Awesome video man! Interesting derailment site. I really look forward to watching your new uploads. I too love to explore around Arizona but having kids now limits my availability. Your videos are very satisfying.

That would be a lot of fun, I don't have a lot of experience off road and it would be fun to get some experience and the history of the areas is really interesting!

Thanks, Adam. One day I think that will definitely happen. Not sure when, but it seems like it could be a lot of fun to do something like that!

Nice video! I finally went off roading with the wife in my ZJ and after the first mud hole she told me I can get my lift, lol. So it's ordered and I am waiting to get everything so that I can install it. Keep up the great work and I highly recommend duct insulation with adhesive backing. It lowered my roof temps by 30degress according to my inferred thermometer.

Kyle White What brand and size lift kit did you order?
@KJsProjects5 жыл бұрын
@@dalegribble7760 I went with a 4.5 inch lift with a mix of parts (RE springs and quick disconnects, Core4*4 control arms and track bars, and Bilsteins).

Thanks, Kyle! And that’s awesome. I’m thinking about re-lifting my ZJ to get rid of some coil sag and getting a little extra clearance. The insulation is still a great idea too. I may have to do that soon.
