This should not affect the quality of the game. Just because most free to play games are of lesser quality doesn’t mean that all f2p games should be. It’s most certainly justified to criticize it in that regard. Especially if it tries to get attention by its „modern“ graphics.

A dungeon pass as well (even tho you buy the current expansion/season) also let’s not for the cosmetics/emotes/finishers and ornaments behind a paywall which is even worse considering destiny 2 is full price game! And charges more for expansions then most games charge full stop! The first descendant in terms of of polish is certainly not the worse I’ve seen by free to play or full price standards

People got tired of Borderlands, so they went to Warframe. People got tired of Warframe, so they went to Destiny. And now, people are tired of Destiny so they came here. Warframe has problems, but so does Destiny, WoW, Maple Story, and every other online game you can think of. So before you call a game "trash", just remember this. And, also remember that Warframe is older than Destiny. You basically just called your grandma trash. You wouldn't want to hurt your grandma now would you?

So far I’m enjoying the game. P2W can be interpreted multiple ways, as I primarily view it if the game has PvP. Since the game is only PvE, it’s really just pay-to-get-ahead, as nearly everything outside of cosmetics is completely earnable. That being said, the combat feels good, the looter-shooter genre feels good as well, and earning higher grade gear already seems to come easy after spending only a few hours playing it. Yes the AI of the enemies does feel pretty dummed down, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t challenging moments you’ll face. I think the overall mobility within combat feels very good, and while a slower parallel compared to Warframe, it plays pretty smooth so far. Boss fights are pretty fun compared co-op. The game is completely free to play and allows you to formulate your own opinion of it without breaking out your wallet, just like Warframe. Compared to many other great games I’ve played, I’ve experienced very little bugs, outside of the need to optimize my graphics settings as this game is pretty graphics hungry, but mitigable without compromising quality. I’m willing to keep playing and see how the end game feels, but for now solid fun and I’m sure some optimization along the way will only make it better

After playing final shape from D2, characters and dialogue feels very, very awkward and cliche in this game. And mission types are lacked, it usually like this: go somewhere, kill X amount of enemies, collect something or hold X amount of time, then finish. At last, the gunplay is okay, sound quite realistic to me. Payshop? I don't even look at it.

That’s how Destiny started…and how Warframe is. There are only so many things you can do with guns. Destiny distinguished itself by adding mechanics like you see in MMO missions. I imagine this game is starting out basic and then will expand and extend once they get an idea of what players respond to. Which is exactly what Bungie did…though imperfectly.

@fallen5983 1) He's popular enough that people will SHOWER him with enough gifts to fly to endgame in record time. 2) The devs have made enough positive changes in early game to remove most annoying roadblocks to progress through very easily with as little trouble as possible. He could absolutely fit it in, see the best parts of the game a few hours a week, be right back on the Destiny grind and not bat an eye.

I don't even think it's fair to call the modding "similar," every single mechanic associated with modding is a 1:1 copy of Warframe. Gear capacity is the same, matching polarities is the same, endo and credits are the same, even FORMA is the same, absolutely zero innovation in that entire system unless something has changed drastically since the beta. Boss fights are cool though, I wish Warframe had more large-scale interactive bosses, the closest it has is probably Exploiter Orb. Boss fights are something TFD actually does *really* well imo

played all day today. every gauntlet boss i’ve fought has the same weakpoints (shoulders, legs) despite one being a giant crab and another being a huge robot woman. also they spawn the exact same ads. all minibosses/story bosses use the same 2 mechanics (floating orbs or minion spawn) after taking damage. already encountered Greg, the first story boss, 5 times (Enhanced Clone of Greg). bunnys ult doesnt fit her playstyle. the grind just to play the dice over and over again is insane. and im seeing people with 50 dollar characters day 1. and thats not mentioning the character timegate (research mechanic), which also stunts your ability to bring old weapons up to ur level. gaming is in a bubble and it needs to pop

Games got some potential, but it definitely needs a translation team to come in and clean things up dialogue wise, and some things need to be touched on. Some of the voices could have better performances. And everything just gets thrown out you at the start so it’s pretty confusing. But give it a year or so and it may turn out a good game.

It’s a Korean dev, no matter what they do it’ll be a slot machine game going for your money rather than putting out compelling content. As someone who lived in South Korea for 12 years it’s fairly common.

It is kinda of interesting that this game has mixed reviews on Steam. If you look at the actual reviews, most people are hating on Nexon or putting a bad review after only 2 hours of gameplay. On the other hand the positive reviews are from people with more than 10 hours of playtime.
