Hey there, Lou. I just want to apologize to you. I have watched about 50 of your videos, especially the Big E, the REALLY big E, and I just realized I have never pushed the like button once on any of them, This is a huge mistake I intend to correct in short order. I also just wanted to tell you that you are MY kind of builder, my friend. You have obviously installed the, what I like to call, “close enough” circuit in your positronic brain. You chase detail and accuracy to a point, and when you hit that point, you say “close enough.” I can totally respect that. You do incredible work, amazing work, very well done, but you have the self awareness to know that perfection is not attainable, and really not worth the effort. I really like that about you. I watch you build things, and I say, hey, I could DO that, and I wouldn’t have to be totally crazy to do it. That’s really cool. You and I also seem to have a similar taste in movies, TV shows, and music from the seventies where we clearly both grew up. Keep up the incredible work. I admire it greatly. And let me add a vote for you to do an Enterprise Refit Aztecking video. I would like to see how you do it, but only if it strikes your fancy. No pressure or anything. Maybe someone will *pay* you to do one? Ha ha ha. Thanks for these videos, sincerely. They keep me sane. Stay safe!

My version "Coats of grey primer, always waiting to dry, decals are cut out, waiting to apply... Sanding through layers, always more defects to hide, panel line scribing can lead me to cry... and I prime, and I prime you, oh how I prime you!"

IIRC those side extrusions on the pod are airlocks. And were no doubt 'stuck on' extras to existing pods models and so the tooling is correct and hence the gap at the bottom.

You see the cockpit separate from the rest of the Eagle and dock with another Earth-ship in the Season 1 episode Dragon's Domain. Great channel and a great build.

Lovely looking Eagle 2 so far. No scratch built additions to the cockpit though. It really does need some barber chairs. :)

You *are* looking more like you should be playing a banjo on a street corner-- but then don't we all? S'Funny, the International Hand Gesture for Airbrushing looks an awful lot like the Old Gypsy's Curse Finger... Oh yes, the ship! I thought it would wind up much whiter. I know there's a final over spray of white but that's not going to go as far as my brain contemplated. Perhaps it's my own personal white balance being off. Still, it's a big beastie.

Most of this eagle is like the eagle 1 with the difference in the details on the landing gear pods and the engine's the piping on the back and the lab pod everything else is basically the same it's a beautiful kit there's very little you can do about the mould lines on the trus work that's just the nature of the injection molding process you just have to do your best and try to deal with it tho

Lou + I have the monogram 1/72 scale space shuttle stack had it in my stash I was on Pinterest the other day and someone I forget the name made the same kit they did a display of it taking off I think they used some of that expanding foam out of a can and lit up the engine's with LED'S it was a neat idea for my build I took some screen grab image's of it and they scratch build the very top of the launch tower in the smoke trails a very dynamic display

That gap you were complaining about if I remember correctly was in the original models too. Which wouldn't show up in 70s tvs. Also i read that pod was the pod with crain that they converted to the lab pod.

Love the work on the eagle so far. Just a quick question what color Orange did you use for the Booster Rocket Tanks and would that Orange be suitable to use on a Rescue Version Eagle for the Orange stripes on the main Section?

@@aztekdummy I did some research on vinyl and I have a better knowledge of how it is done. If I was a professional builder I might invest but I don't build that many to make it worth it. And I wouldn't do it free handed.

Does the difference between the two eagles mean that assembles like the thruster pack or modules will not be interchangeable?
@aztekdummy4 жыл бұрын
the booster pack will fit on the older Eagle, and everything else would also interchange. It's more in how those elements build up, not their final dimensions that is changed this time around
