Yes, Azucena was nerfed, but I don't think she has been destroyed like people are saying. It's just that Azucena players actually have to play the game now like the rest of us and not rely on 2-3 broken strings to win.

Yea they basically they want you to play using her stances, because what they pretty much did is nerf frames and make it steppable. I honestly have no experience with her, but I just think the nerfs heavily apply on while running 3, 2. People on twitter still saying its not enough and they want her knee to be a high. But I just think that'd make the move useless.

Real talk. I think something that’s not talked about nearly enough in gaming spaces are how many players of their respective games knowingly take full advantage of game pieces (characters, cards, weapons, or whatever applies for the respective game) that are heavily exploitable and easy to pull off that don’t allow for much if any conventional or reasonable counterplay to be had, and then have the audacity to put the burden on the rest of the player base that choose not to play in such an exploitative way and expects them to be okay with it and if they have a problem with it then they just need to “Git gud”. It’s truly obnoxious.

With Tekken it's especially irritating because you just want to play a good honest match only to be met with azucena spam,king chain grab spam,Reina spam,victors whole screen pistol shots,Leroy parry spam,jack armored moves spam it's almost enough to make you not even want to play. If you spamming me and I barely win I'm NOT rematching. I will block you so I don't have to play you again. Call me scared call me a bitch call me whatever you want. I REFUSE to participate in a match where it's a CHORE to play against you. Games are supposed to be FUN

@@riotron1026 games are supposed to be FUN. Most of the time on Tekken its a CHORE. Even in casuals. ITS A FREAKING CHORE. Make sure they don't keep low trip spamming you. Making sure they don't keep running grabbing you. Dealing with the stupid taunting and ki charging. I really miss FUN games where win or lose we had a great time and laughed about it. It seems like almost everybody is a tryhard,everyone is a sweat,everyone is using some meta strategy with meta characters or a meta gun with meta skins and meta combos that are broken with super high damage at the time. People KNEW dragonovs running punch was broken but they still kept using it mopping up easy wins. same with azucena soon as somebody makes it a LITTLE easier to counter that they get all pissy about it. it's so obvious to see who was carried and who actually tries to play the game.

@@suntansuperman598 Unfortunately online games (especially fighting games) are going to attract the most competitive of game players. Thankfully not everyone is a complete dickhead but many are. Fighting games are inherently more competitive than other genres imo and the landscape of gaming has changed. Playing with close friends vs some randos online are different experiences. If you want fun where you don’t have to think too hard and just enjoy the experience of playing and having fun then playing with friends if the way to go, otherwise playing online probably won’t be worth it. If you value grinding and improving over time then online may not be as stressful, or even be fun. Depends on the player.

Arslan Ash has been heavily nerfed because now Jun and Azucena both his 1A and 1B are nerfed enough against top players that he might struggle in the next tourney

df1,4 nerf is about being able to hit confirm df1 into 4 easily for the most part. It was crazy good given she has about a dozen more hit confirmable strings that do around 35 dmg. Some with follow ups like f3,2. Imo they should have taken down the jail property and toned down the hit confirm to be like Jin's df1,4 which is confirmable but difficult to do so. Now with 2,1 being -7 ob it's useless. Just go for df1,4 all day. 2,1,2 is just for wall carry now and for a ocasional mix up at the wall. i10 strings in general are nerfed unnecesseraly. 1,1 is useless at -10. 1,2 will do a better job as a i10 punisher. Why take a risk now? It's whack considering how fun 1,1 is to use. I liked to clap a lot. Most entertaining character in Tekken ever. They should have focused on her endless hit confirms instead which do in fact kill her identity because she can just lame people out with stuff like f3, df4,1 etc, etc. You still won't have to go for libertador to win. No motivation for self expression unless you WANT to. Which is again inefficient.

Df141 damage nerf is fair but I think Bamco should’ve buffed df1412’s last hit by the same amount so that her already relatively low wall-combo damage would remain the same.

Yeah to me the only thing i can sorta agree to was wr32, every other nerf was so unnecessary especially 1,1. Making that completely useless & risky to do unless you know you can get the punish for lib stance. They've been doing too many knee jerk changes, but lets hope with the june update there is more good changes since they did hinted at positive changes for her stances.

While her nerfs are disappointing, I still enjoy using her. She is so fun to use but I understand some of these were needed.

Ever since her reveal at last years Evo I wanted to play her, it was super cool to me to see Tekken have its first ever Peruvian character in it, and I just enjoyed her overall style. It sucks hearing constantly that "YOUR CARRIED" or anger from the peanut gallery. Especially when you just having fun with her and not playing her for meta reasons.

@@Blackmore2323As someone who likes to stick to a character, I really dread coming back to Tekken 8 in the summer; I had to take a massive break for school and all the while I’ve been gone they’ve done nothing but mostly nerf the funni coffee lady with mixups I enjoyed playing into the ground. I don’t even know if I’m going to come back at this rate; if there’s anything I’ve learned from my short time in the FGC, I like low tiers but it’s absolutely brutal to fight from the back-foot sometimes…

Its extremely tough man, Previous Tekken's i was a Lei player, he was never high in the tiers until towards the end of t7, but other than that he was always mid & still get complaints, i would get that even at locals. It gets draining after a while.
