I'd love to see an Azur Lane series that largely follows the events of the war. Balls to the wall violent with ship girls dying left and right corresponding with their real life counterparts. I would say have it largely follow Enterprise as the main character from Pearl Harbor all the way to Leyte Gulf. Enterprise had a really storied and heroic journey. Fighting non stop through the Pacific campaign.

I'm pretty sure that is Hornet CV-8 and maybe Yorktown CV-5. I only say maybe for Yorktown as I know Yorktown II exists but I don't think Hornet II does in Azur Lane

@@hammer1349 Ah, a newbie. Well to clear things up, the II ships are treated as remodeled and revitalized versions of the classic ships. You can consider them evolved versions of themselves; their personalities and traits are pretty much unchanged, but they have greatly improved equipment based on the successors of the vessels they themselves were originally based on. In the story, these new riggings revitalize shipgirls that were badly wounded or ill; such as Yorktown, Hornet, and Northampton, and allowed them to return to service stronger than ever. For example, Yorktown II is still Yorktown CV-5's character, but with an evolved rigging based on the Essex class CV-10. In short; same characters, new and improved riggings. Arknights anime is doing that (although a bit rushed but good non the less) having the anime go through events. since the 1st azur lane i personally can't understand how people especially from any AL community members like myself can like or wish for a second season as it was pure wasted poetical. make the anime follow the storyline of events. not pull random crap outa the @$$ from a studio that knew little of the game which was evident in the production. even if it is not following the events perfectly we could have had idk 3 episodes slice of life at port for perspective on home base and shipgirl development heck maybe even see the state of the other nations and that could lead up to or connect with the other 3 sets of episodes for sorties and battles. there are a bunch of even small maritime battles that could be shown for some history knowledge to if they wanted. like how the nations fight while divided then we get snip bits of the sirens scheming then after being at each other throats the sirens make their move forcing each nation to refocus efforts and we can be introduced to the commander whos job is unite all factions. we can also see how certain faction deveople by taking their respective paths towards development like the Azur Lane faction trying to better their own technology, testing pths in which they could take an while the crimson axis use and research siren tech which could be like a double edged sword, they could show that the Azur lane's is slow but steady and the crimson axis's is fast but risky. as for the commander they better make the commander a chad giving the shit he does and has to do. no average mc ever personality would be acceptable, even if people can't self insert (cuz fuk dat it makes for a character with a personality of a plastic cup) he has gotta be a prime and proper leader. if the shipgirls are going to like or admire him, SHOW THEY HAVE A REASON TO BY MAKING HIM UNQIUE, show us he is worthy of that or has deff earned it thought his effort. to make tough calls and to be there to command and lead, sure he'll make mistakes but each mistake should show he learns and becomes even better then before. intel should not fly past this guy and being there to also manage the home port or attend events like the world expo should sow how present and how important he his and his effect on others such as the shipgirls may feud with other nations but are more open to him like in the game. Priority ships can be interesting because in game we are responsible for their creation from blueprint to present person, how it is handled could be commander making investments into otherwise scraped "ideas" for ships and seeing poetical he makes em and maybe though the success, influences other nations to try the same. priority ships like monarch already have a attachment to the commander in game once you make her. each story can also be amazing if fleshed out like how monarch my grow to accept and bond with the King George the 5th ships that were made off her some of her design. or secretary side stories like akagi's and how it shows her development from obsessive to truly caring for the commander. of course for the storyline there will have to be a beginning stories and events without the commander for continuity sakes in which some historical events take place and like in game from the pieces/remnants of the shipgirls lost and sunk the commander tries to rebuild and recover sunken shipgirls to undo the dmg each nation dealt to each other so that they can focus more power towards the siren threat which will also help establish connections to the commander and said shipgirls like for example how akagi will get to know and see the commander after she was sunk. then the fun of the origin cubes lore and how the wisdom cube and (i forgot the other one) was made to make the sirens which unlike KANSEN were called antiochus plus that black cube is still unknown.

Seeing the Small section of them showing important Events like Midway (enterprise vs akagi), Bismarck's Last stand, and Minneapolis Vs Jean Bart makes me want to see an Actual Game lore accurate Azur Lane anime. But since it really depicts how WW2 went, regardless of it being reinactments, it's still difficult since WW2 seems to be a sensitive topic. It's the reason WW2 movies are very one sided at times But I am still hopeful that An anime like that would happen because the Base lore of Azur Lane doesn't get enough credit

Pleased to see something like this. AL has been a fun game to play, especially with the ability to build fleets around your favorite faction and/or shipgirl. Kind of wish we got to experience more fun media like this, because the animation gives tons of personality that just isn't captured in-game. I also dream of the ships being given EN voices, but there's no chance that's ever happening because of the crippling expense of replicating 25 different lines for hundreds of different ships.

It's funny that I don't play the mobile game, but I have my fair share of it on World of Warships, World of Warships Legends (PS4), and Azur Lane: Crosswave. I don't know much of the story since I've watched the anime multiple times... but I can tell there will be more battles ahead in the coming months. For now though... it's best to enjoy this event.
