Don’t know if you still reply to comments from videos this old, but would you say auto loader is a good choice for aux? I’ve been using them pretty much exclusively and so far it’s been doing well, but it seems that’s not the way to go. Thoughts?

Awesome updated gear grind guide. Hopefully we won't get a new event just yet. I want some time to farm 2-1 for a few days before going back to the Fox mines. It really did help to buy all the gold boxes. Though it takes me a bit longer to do a 2-1 run. About 4mins. Is it because the main DD guns on my zombies are +6 purple? Should I give them +6 gold main guns instead? I notice that they don't one-shot mobs, but tend to leave them with tiny slivers of HP, which... effectively doubles the time it takes to kill them. Some advice would be much appreciated. Thanks. :)

If they are already lv 70, then it's mostly gear yeah. It takes me 2 minutes or so, but you can just improve on it. By making +10 gear, but make sure it's relevant gear.

@@Kimocheese Thanks! And yes they are. Definitely a gear thing then. I read somewhere that +10 should be reserved for golds (unless it's an outstanding purple like a Helldiver) since they cost purple plates. I'm less than two months in, and I only have a couple hundred. Is that advice accurate, or should I +10 a decent purple gun?

Mostly accurate yes, you can push a purple gear to +8 if you want to for a bit more. But I'd save most of the purple plates for gold gear.

@@Kimocheese Thanks again! I'll see if I can get by with +7 or +8, but first I'll review my inventory for a gold DD gun. It's unlikely, since my starter is Z23 and she has a gold CL gun, but I might have missed something. Keep being awesome for us F2P farmers! :D

Did a 1h run with +8 purple main guns. Had to do a couple of dock retirements, worth a total of 44 ships. Earned a total of 2853 coins in that time. This really is amazing, and all on autopilot. Thanks for sharing this wonderful farming spot and strategy! :D

Not anymore, 2-1 / 7-2 farming is now a thing of the past. The gear suggestions are almost all the same still.

@@Qimi Depends what you want but for coins it's generally better to just farm the highest level map you can, I do 12-4 still as a fast and easy with good pay out map. High level maps have oil cost caps, so you can field a full 3/3 ship comp for fairly cheap oil cost.

yes there are specific gears for different ships ex. carriers ( CV & CVL ) they need plane gears

There are specific builds, but those work for situational fights (endgame or PvP). If you are still fighting on worlds below 10, don't sweat it that much.

I've stopped buying gold boxes regularly a while back. And although I open one months amount of gold boxes on last day of month as one would expect I still find myself lacking one type of gear while already having excess of another. So here's my question: Is buying gold boxes on regular basis still valid for high level commander (100+)?

Get enough to cover 4 fleets for OS, then after that do whatever you want.

No it's USS, which is why I opened 10 royal boxes right after I talked about it if you were watching carefully.

@@Kimocheese So, USS = United States Ships, which is represented by Eagle Union. The triple 406mm Mk.6 , according to Wikipedia, is found on the North Carolina and South Dakota BB ships (Eagle Union ships in AL) and the AL wiki says the triple 406mm Mk.6 is found on Eagle Union boxes. I rewatched your vid 11:30 you said from "Royal Boxes". This is probably why you didn't get one ( or bad RNG). Just found this a bit confusing as I'm also farming the Mk.6 for my BBs (Warspite and Monarch leveling) and saving my boxes. Great guide overall and I enjoy your videos. Cheers!

nice way to get new players bored and quit the game. tell them that they NEED to farm one map into oblivion. this may work for your playstyle, but this will get majority of players bored to death by game. just advancing through game gives you enough gear. hearing you tell them to grind for blue gear that they can get easily from the tens of thousands of purple boxes that they will get by just doing random content is just sad...

I literally said 1 blue gear and that's fire extinguisher. No one says you have to farm gold gear boxes if you want to progress. If you want to farm for the gear set gear then go for it. People that came to watch this video know what they got into because they're obviously here to watch ways to get gear and improve. Otherwise why come here in the first place if you aren't looking to how to progress gear?
