Admiral Hipper (and Blücher) were also the smallest of their class, Prinz Eugen was larger and Seydlitz and Lützow would've been too if they were completed. So there's another reason for her flatness, and maybe a chance that Blücher will be flat too since Hipper seems to have more positive feelings for her than her other sisters. And Prinz Eugen's bitterness towards being a lucky ship goes deeper than that, she may have survived but she had to live through most of the Kriegsmarine surface fleet sinking. And then got nuked twice. So she views her "luck" as more of a curse rather than a blessing like you see with a lucky ship like Enterprise or Zuikaku.

As someone who learnt japanese, english, chinese and german, might I add that it must be really confusing for the japanese to speak the german words although they learn english. Ie before learning german, i always pronounced prinz eugen as Prince Eugene, but in reality, its more appropriate to pronounce it as Prin-tss Oy-gen (Oy like Oy mate and Gen like den from garden)

Another Fun facts about Admiral Hipper: The British reported only seven ships were lost, totaling 32,806 long tons (33,332 t), along with damage to two more. The Germans claimed Admiral Hipper had sunk thirteen of the nineteen freighters, while some survivors reported fourteen ships of the convoy were sunk.
