it is actually easy to get 100% on the barrage since Mogador and Marseille are MNF ships and are really good. This means you can have Alsace and Richelieu in the main fleet

You're likely to run L'Indomptable over Mogador in some cases when having to run MNF.

@@AzurLaneMeta Really? They definitely need to do something with the French. French ships only work good with French ships, which is a downside since faction fleets are typically not that good.

@@BrotherGames75794 I agree, French ships also tend to have some stupid limitation or weird gimmick that holds them back from being truly great. And sometimes they're just not as good as the competition stats/skills-wise. Manjuu seems to overestimate the impact of faction buffs too. Thankfully Alsace was saved from this because they can't make a UR weird...but, well, pre-buff Mogador existed lol.

Crazy how the devs seem to have a thing for putting french ships on a leash with restrictions. Instead of making an overall good ship that provides for literally any fleet, they make something with a "2024 skill set" that has to drag other outdated ships into battle.

There are some exceptions like Jeanne d'Arc (survivability, still niche though), Mogador (trash on release, actually solid for a UR now), Alsace (not surprising considering her rarity) but yeah many French ships have weird and sometimes downright stupid gimmicks (esp. older ships with manual restriction, JB having crit locked behind her terrible gun, Painleve's heal being delayed 5s after her airstrike, Brest's secondaries firing only behind her) or are just not particularly amazing (e.g. Flandre just being a solid, if unremarkable, BB).

I am suprised about kasumi meta, got flashed by that 600+ torp stat, she only bested by shimakaze who got 2 more (at 125) Considering she is totally free and you essentially just gotta play the game its quite impressive especially for beginners with how easy she is to get

Yes, I probably should have play her up a little more for newer players, since Jintsuu META is no longer around. However Shimakaze and Ayanami (retrofit) are perma-content now.

My opinions of the three new ships. Strasbourg: While she looks more German to me, and way different then Dunkerque in every meaning of the word, I still like her design. Plus her Race Queen skin is just brilliant. L'Audacieux: Really like her design, really brings cadence to her name meaning "The Audacious one", plus she's another Le Fantasque class in the game. Now all we need is Le Fantasque herself and we'll have a complete set. Dupleix: My favorite of the three, sure she's only an Elite, but as we always say here at ALM, Waifu over Meta. Plus she looks like the hot teacher in various ecchi animes, so she's got something that Strasbourg and L'Audacieux don't.

Strasbourg and Dupleix are my personal favorite ships of this event. I still like L'Audacieux, but the other two are just more interesting.

I was surprised that we were getting another French event, as we had the event in mid?June that gave us both Alsace & Mogador. But I ain't complaining, just adds more mystery to the ship girl seen at Anime Expo. I still think she's Indiana by the way.

The problem with france ship is, is that they have many ships that buff other franch ships, Richelieu, Alsace, Marseille, but no damage dealer ship that could utulize these buffs, Alsace for example gives french cannons, torpedoes and aircraft an 8% crit dmg or crit rate (dont know right now), however there is no Carrier or battelship that could use it to its fulliest potential

They do stack at least. And Alsace and Brest are starting to get to that damage level we'd like to see.

That's good to hear. Strasbourg however already needs a buff, since MNF ships are not the best. Flandre and Casgocne are doing nearly the same thing and only function as a Mob fleet flagship. Jean Bart is an old SR ship and Clemencau is ok I would say but nothing special

L'audacieux has litteraly "Mogador" written on her. I'm curious to test them together along another good vg. You omitted that Strasbourg despite being mid have one of the best bc barrages of the game (better than hood).

For real, she hits super hard as one of the best vanguard DPS with Hinden and Unzen now. Plus she's way more tanky than before the patch even if it took long She may not be meta for some fleets but hey she's still a pretty good UR

@@gachaisbadcivilization6004 I’ve had literally 0 survivability issues and her dmg is like a bit less than Plymouth from what I seen so far. She’s not in the top of the top but shes nowhere near as bad as people seem to think. Much in part thanks to that OP DD gun that came from her event.

Cool designs, but I still cant understand why they gave mogador, a gun ship, a torp vulnerability debuff, and the new dd with 2 torp mounts an fp vulnerability debuff... This just makes them less self sufficient and forces synergies that isnt even worth it a lot of the times

I think the new DD is still going to be useful in a French fleet. Alsace needs a ship that fires fast to proc her damage increase skill, so Mogador was kind of the only option, plus with one spot left being Brest for tanking, it left the last slot to Saint Louis, but the new ship can replace her for more damage.

I mean Alsace definitely doesn't need that buff, but yes this ship is an alright option for it with the 30% RLD buff that's up 50% of the time. Brennus or Saint Louis works with the MGM+1 too, but I guess Mogador has the added benefit of a MGM+1 on a DD gun rather than CA gun. It's almost like she's supposed to be paired with a full French faction fleet to buff it altogether.

It's a minor event, so I wasn't really expecting anything game breaking or spectacular from the three girls. Still planning on sweeping the banner though, as I'm a French main and need to keep my almost 100% obtain rate for them going (Damn you, Clemenceau, for dodging me!!!!!!!). I'm not picking up every skin for this event, but I will definitely be grabbing the Joffre skin at the bare minimum.
