This is my first time with the series and I had a good time with this one but have any of you played the other GUNVOLT games and are they all super challenging? Let me know!

Yea, Gunvolt in this game is a beast, I'm not sure he's quite so OP in the previous games though.

Gunvolt fan here. The first 2 games are great, very fun and great. The missions( side mission that is) is a cheap way of making thr games longer than it should be which can lead to being repetitive but not a bad repetitive though. I hope they lighten up on this in the 3rd game. Anyway thr 1st 2 games are really great and I wouldn't say they are challenging at all. You'll have fun all the way thru
@AvanToor2 жыл бұрын
They are challenging, but they all have similar accessibility options. All the games with GunVolt somewhere in their title have the same kind of replayability value. Sure, you could go right back in and challenge yourself more this time, but to me they are a LOT of fun coming back to later.

This looks fun and once again a great, honest review. You've certainly climbed way up in my ranking of game reviewers, I hope you keep going. We just gotta pump those sub numbers up my dude, but keep it up and one will hit and bang, there you go.
@SwitchStars2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Briar, that's good to hear 😁 I'll just keep plodding away, I cover some quite niche games so don't quite get the viewership of higher profile channels or those covering a broader range of platforms, but focusing down is more manage, especially with me running Xbox Corner with Alex. Hopefully hit that 100K mark one day 😂

I had no clue that this was out, I love Inti and this series!

Yea, It's due to release today (28th UK). I've never played the previous games but I reviewed Gun*Gal Double Peace on the Switch and enjoyed that too.

I love the series and I think Inti Creates are the masters of anime-style pixelart. I think it takes balls to get Inafune back on board after the whole Mighty no.9 debacle (yes, THAT Inti Creates! Also, Mega Man Zero). And don't worry about GunVolt fans having nothing to do for the past six years. The iX series is amazing.
@SwitchStars2 жыл бұрын
Yea I thought the Pixel art was fantastic in this one, I don't really know much of the other games, only played a couple of Mega Man my self, but I enjoyed this one.

I love the Azure Striker games, they always felt like a big evolution to the Mega Man ZX games by Inti Creates. Together with Dragon Marked for Death Azure Striker are Inti Creates big master pieces. Gonna play this one too, of course, especially after this review. There's also the Luminous Avenger spinoff of Azure Striker if you still haven't had enough playing all 3 main line games.

I've played a couple of Mega Man but none of the newer ones by them, the only other one I have was Gun*Gal Double Peace which was good fun.

Glad you're enjoying it dude, I had a good time with it too, though I have to say it does get very tough towards the end and I have no idea how I'd have survived without the shields lol.

@@SwitchStars Yeah, I uhh... cant even get past BB without my Kudos going down the drain, so I'm kinda scared lol. I've gotten the best ranks on all 4 of the other games though so I'm sure I'll get it.
@SwitchStars2 жыл бұрын
Lol 😁 you know you can just spam double tapping down to recharge your talisman and get your shield back? Also save GUNVOLT for the bosses, he makes short work of them and utilise your special abilities on their last phase just before they do their desperation move.
@agreedboarart31882 жыл бұрын
@@SwitchStars Oh, I don't use prevasion cuz I don't think it protects against Kudos loss. Is GV good for racking up points for bosses though?

I am pretty sure it stops you having the lockout on points when it blocks damage. I didn't actually pay attention but I managed to hit A and B ranks on all levels while using him

Excellent review. I think I’ll pick this one up, now. I demoed the previous ones on 3DS. They had interesting mechanics as well, but they didn’t rise to the top of my list. The artwork and animation on this one look outstanding and a real evolution from the 3DS games. Looks awesome.

The 3ds games were great and pretty much was the same on switch with the only difference being the 60 fps gameplay minus 30 on the 3ds

I really recommend that you play the first 4 entries my problem with this game is there's not enough gun vault we got gunvolt Gun Vault 2 and copen got two of his own Standalone games and was a playable character in Gun Vault 2 which had multiple endings depending on what character you used I like this game but I still feel as though there's not enough gun vault in this gunvolt game I think gunvolt's way overpowered but I just feel like he's put on the back burner and we've already had two games in this universe that didn't even have him in it then we get a gun vault game and we're really playing as some girl where gunvolts more of a Overdrive or a gimmick for lack of a better word I'm not saying that this is a bad game because that's way far from the truth I even like the new character I even like GV as a dog I just really wish that we didn't have to switch between characters she should have been a optional character kind of like copin was in the second game I think my biggest complaint so far is that we're not playing as just gunvolt and it's kind of disappointing at least to me

@@SwitchStars yes the controls are 100% completely customizable and the reason that they put it on the rightbutton is because that's how gunvolt originally played it feels right on Gun Vault but doesn't feel right on her at all which brings me to I really wish you could customize each character's controls because it doesn't feel natural on gunvolt to change the controls

Ahhh fair enough. Yea tagging with her is tough with the bumper as you have to do it repeatedly, with Gun Volt you only need to do it once which it feels fine for.
@HansAlRachid Жыл бұрын
I remember playing the first Gunvolt on the 3DS back in the day and even though I'm a massive fan of the Mega Man Zero games, this series just left me disappointed with its sloppy as hell level design. Over the years people helped me understand the series a bit better - as I understand it they're meant to be played more like arcade titles than traditional 2D platformers. You're meant to speedrun levels and go for high combos and the like and apparently that makes the loose level design and layout sing. Personally I'm just not really into that concept, so the series just isn't for me, I think. That said, this third title definitely seems to be more intricate than the first one, so maybe it'd be more up my alley.
@philcollinss52542 жыл бұрын
I gave you an up vote. You’re a good reviewer. But don’t use click bait titles that imply you have experience with the previous games. It’s annoying to click on a review hoping to get a review with reference points to the original series only to find out the creator just put the title that way to gain clicks.
@SwitchStars2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Phil, appreciate it. This was actually a bit of an experiment to be honest, It didn't originally have a clickbaity title, but I just changed the titles of a few of my older videos and a newer one to see whether or not it had an influence on click through rate, maybe this wasn't the best video to test it on, my bad!

Seems like you've never played a platformer in your life more like it. It's a genre that incentivizes replaying and mastering the levels and getting good at the combat. Seems you're clearly not the audience and need an rpg ir sonething.

Seems like you don't know the point of these games. The point of these games is to master the mechanics and replay the stages to get higher and higher ranks.
