A fun thing about Anchor Nexus is that you don't have to cancel it in order to tag an enemy without dealing damage, you just have to release the Dash button just before you touch them

As a long time fan of the classic Mega Man series, the Gunvolt franchise quickly became my favorite. It captures the fast-paced action and precision platforming that made MM be so damn good and look so damn awesome when done right. Gameplay wise, I stand with you in saying that LiX 2 and GV 3 deserve more love. They are very good, very technical games, but they capture the goodness that the best MMX had (MM Zero feel, to me a bit clunkier, and not as fast paced as their X counterparts, which shaves point on them, imo). Kirin is quickly becoming one of my favorites, as her style can be so wild and flashy when done right, and downright suicidal when done wrong. I'm always waiting for a new GV/LiX game now, and yes, please do boss breakdowns and strategies. They are some very original and amazing, but frustrating fights (I'm talking to YOU, you damn pink crystal mirror POS user from GV 2).

My beef with all the tech introduced on iX2 is that it all boils down to extra busywork needed for the first 1k kudos on a weapon that feels like crap to use which you then immediately forget about to do the same old same old bonk enemy > shoot down to close to 1 hp > hit different colored finisher and just keep going like that. It all feels phoned in especially with the whole having to open up the freaking skill menu to remove a tag when you have an unused face button.

I know this is focused on stages and not bosses and I forgot to mention it on the other comment but are you aware of the insane dps tech with AC cancel on bosses? I would really like a breakdown on it because even after the player who discovered it uploaded a short clip of him doing the inputs I do not understand how it's supposed to work.

I’m aware of it, it’s something related to I believe buffering the inputs really fast rapidly but the clip I’ve seen is the game at 120fps.
