Great video series so far Dean. Really enjoyed watching them and just hits the correct cords in the brain. and after some hands on practice and grinding the brain it just feels good that all of it makes sense. Thanks for creating them. Just a small feedback: Of course there will be loads of forums, documentation and windows community Q&As around, was thinking if you would like to set up a small forum yourself with regards to your channel/videos where we can search for already asked Qs or put up new Qs/doubts as and when we run across problems. Because as the comments on your videos will keep on increasing, it feels difficult to follow along if there are some important doubts you or someone else have resolved and tend to get lost as the number grows. Sorry for the long feedback even if I said to be small. :)

I have given this some thought and I like the idea...just need to find the time to set it up ☺️

For reference, the client features page has now removed the SSO line. I'm guessing due to the confusion. So I would guess if asked about SSO in WVD the answer would be no.

I would say the answer would be...unchanged...for a little longer. Stay tuned!

Why wrapping that msi to intunewin file when intune can also deploy msi files?

It was just an example, I called out many other file types ☺️

I wasn't aware of registering with email! I mean tried it did not work. I will give it a try with public DNS. Thanks again for your video and guidance. Cheers!

Glad I could help! You can also do it with your private DNS...but the question is where is you client coming from? If over the internet, then you need public DNS.
@imranhussain94463 жыл бұрын
@@AzureAcademy Client would be both over internet (majority) but few from client's network over VPN. Then i would say need to go for public DNS?

then I would add the DNS info in your private and public DNS 😁

Question. When you push the WVD Client with Intune, doesn't it reinstall the "old" version after the client has updated to newer versions? I've seen this happen, but maybe there are ways to detect that a newer version is installed so intune could let it go and live it's own life.
@AzureAcademy3 жыл бұрын
check your detection methods for the original application package. What ever the requirements are still apply which is why it is being reinstalled. Also, depending on how you intent Intune to push the software you may want to make application dependencies so the client laptop gets version 1, then upgrades to version 2...or remove version 1 before install version 2.

Great video Dean! Why is the UWP client so limited? Guess its designed for Windows S? I have a few customers who have downloaded that one by mistake, I would have expected feature parity between the installer and the UWP versions.
@AzureAcademy3 жыл бұрын
Feature parity varies a lot in the clients and improvements are being made constantly, but some things are limitations if the platform. Those things need to be fixed before the client can support more features...but the goal is to have as many features enabled on all clients
