This is a very helpful video. No filler or fluff, just the necessary info that's needed for the trim job. I like the gloss black paint tip. Thanks!

Dude! Excellent vid! I’ll be doing this next week, I think I’m going to drill some venting holes on the front liners.
@AZWESTSIDEWHEELERS2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much we appreciate that. I don’t believe you will need to drill any venting holes as when you trim these inner fenders you end up with a fairly large gap on one side and a smaller hole on the other that make for plenty of venting. I live in Arizona and have no more issues with it warming up. Appreciate you tuning in.

What original hardware was used in the rear fender "ears"? I am wondering if I would reuse more clips instead of self tapping screws. Did you just need to use the screws because the new fender flare was in the way?
@AZWESTSIDEWHEELERS3 жыл бұрын
Self Tapping screws is hardware that came with fenders to mount it. I would not recommend using the plastic clips that originally held it on as they just rot and break off anything plastic like that I remove or bumping into something will remove it for you also heavy mud can rip it out you don’t want that a couple of self tapping screws don’t hurt.

Why not remove the extra material on the rear ended to sandwich the mounts between the fender and the body
@AZWESTSIDEWHEELERS4 жыл бұрын
I tried that with mine the first time and it left a bit of a gap so I put it back on the outside. But definitely thought about it.
@BigJessLBP4 жыл бұрын
AZ WESTSIDE WHEELERS got it. I’m in the same predicament right now. I might just buy a set for the front and leave the back without the liner and maybe spray it black. My Jeep is granite crystal metallic so it won’t be too noticeable
@AZWESTSIDEWHEELERS4 жыл бұрын
@@BigJessLBP either way would definitely work. I was thinking about maybe changing my mind later so I wanted temporary or at least not permanent.

I’m wanting to do a complete delete of my fenders (2016 JKU) and my Jeep is black. Is there a good way to modify the liners to tuck inside the metal fender? Im on a very tight budget and want to do the best I can for as cheap as possible.
@AZWESTSIDEWHEELERS4 жыл бұрын
Its probably possible. I only used a couple mounts outside the fender. Not exactly sure how but its probably doable. As long as its secured by a couple mounts it should be fine unless you see alot of mud. That might add a ton of weight and make it fall if not mounted securely.
@nowotarzan5 жыл бұрын
Why would you remove those nice fenders and install those black thin ones?
@AZWESTSIDEWHEELERS5 жыл бұрын
Those nice ones are just cheap plastic and we had to add flat fenders to clear the 37" tires.

Easier to just bedline the rear wheel wells black . 🤷 Nice video though. 👍
