The "How to" parts of this video were the most interesting for me. Your little demo's take the mystery out of building these small models. Thanks for getting into some of the nitty gritty. Please feel free to make a really boring 20 minute video on making moving surfaces and hinging of the model. You would be surprised how a really boring step by step expose' of this type would be liked by us all, as when you demonstrated your planking process. Thanks for taking the time to document your progress.

You can do it.get up take a walk wash the dishes mow the lawn do things.it will come to you just dont give up. I had a shop teacher who would give us just enough info to keep us working at the project but never do it for us. we became problem solvers out of necessity. You can do it.

@@jagdpanther9 thanks so much! Dishes washed and I’m ready!😉 Retracts, oleos and covering-I’m sure you’ve covered everything but my wife makes me watch mostly with the sound so low I miss lots of product info.😁 When you have the time could you list a few items you used and like? I know you’re a busy guy so don’t worry if you don’t have time. Thanks for such great informative videos!! Gonna watch’em all!!

Just a few questions re your B24 build, iam correct in saying you used A1510 2200kv motors with 10amp esc's, what downward tilt did you use on the motors, and how did you get the CG by that I mean how much from the leading edge did you come in and lastly what size props did you use thx in advance as I've already ordered my B24 😊

I just found this site for rc parts, micronwings.com/Products/SectionGeardrives/index.shtml @jagdpanther9 I was wondering if you'd ever heard of their stuff or used their rc equipment? I'm about to get into my first Guillows and maybe scratch built small planes and was wondering if this equipment would be good.

Thanks for the awesome video. Some good tips that I'll be sure to use in the future. I've got a Mustang Guillows kit that I've been putting off doing for a while that these tips are sure to help with.

You, sir, are a master modeler. Working with a small model like that is no easy task and requires a lot of patience. Kudos.

Very nice workmanship and care in construction,my B-24 is coming along too just in the process of wiring and routing things,your wood is much better quality than what was in my own kit as Guillows seem to use the same old brittle stuff,you are right about the planking it really is necessary to hang the tissue to as a platform,this is one very impressive model and is well worth the effort in converting to radio,thank you for time in producing this on our behalf it is much appreciated.

thank you very much angel, yes i did luck out with the wood in this kit it is very nice. glad to hear your B-24 is moving along!

Dang man. U are very good at this. Gunna copy ur hinge method for the flaps. A big question is how did u get two servos on one plug. I know they make splitters but it looked like the rudder servo was not plugged in. Been wanting to do this, u have inspired me gunna start with a band powered hellcat then a rc Piper like u made. Ur info on sanding and building are a huge help thank u. Hopefully get to build a large scale rc hellcat 32" that's the plan at least.

i'm so glad you can find some usefull info in my build log. just use a T connector for the 2 aileron servos and reposition one servo to run opposite the other one. for flaps leave them both in same direction. it is so fun to fly these models! =D

What is planking and what is it's purpose? Wouldn't that add more weight?
@jagdpanther95 жыл бұрын
planking is used to strengthen areas and to give you something for the parklite or whatever iron on covering to stick to. i think i explain it pretty well in the videos . Thanks for your comment! =D

Thanks for your great tutorial. What is the flexible servo rod I have never seen it before.
@jagdpanther94 жыл бұрын
thanks jon, the servo rod is sullivan golden cable .032 dia. it works really well for control surfaces on these smaller models.

I’m working on building the P47 Thunder Bolt in 1/16 scale. I love the Guillow kits. I must have 34 of them sitting around to build not counting all the other ones. I’m working on 3 planes and a boat sometime I forget where I’m at ha ha. I just finished up a Hawker Hurricane fighter with a electric motor set up free flight. Set up on a timer to run for 3 minutes then fly in circles.

I’m about to begin my P-38 Guillows, ver 2. This one will have retracts - what did you use on yours.
