Here it is, a cold rainy November day in 2017. For some crazy reason, I wake up with this song in my head. I get on with my day: work and things to do at home. Still hearing that song in the back of my mind. OK, time to hear it in it's entirety. Why the tear? Maybe it's tapping into simpler times, maybe happier times. I was 16 buying this 12" single. It wasn't a big hit at the time, but it was fun to have on at parties, while driving, and finally played at some school dances. "Everyone transcends here..." Wouldn't it be nice if music was mighty alchemy releasing powerful energy and spirits into the here and now? Well, it's doing it for me. Hope this song plants a psychic seed throughout humanity and in a few seasons into 2018 it flowers "..making this the summer of love."

I didn't think much of it when it came out(was into more the goth-oriented style of music then) but I l like your comment because I've made "18 summer the "Summer of Love" and its been on my mind for weeks now...the essence of this song and the shaping of said season...what it would look like...then I read your comment and felt the synchronicity. Just thought I would share it.

to all their fans..it was bittersweet. The late summer release was somewhat off too, thank goodness this song was released 2 months before or so..so it caught on. Musicwise, they kept moving forward and it sure should have been a different circumstance around this album. RIP Ricky!

One of my favourite B-52 songs and was glad to find this extended version although apart from the end is just like the normal version.

The version on the Time capsule album is the original version before the record label strip down the song for the album and 12 inch mix. the band was not happy with the results of this, but we all loved it

I thought exactly the same thing. It sounds like the flying lizards. I actually talked to Keith Strickland and he said it was purely coincidental.
