Notice he walks her down memory lane & he's talking to her as he's spent that time Courting her (remember he was dating caroline at thie time they met). He said they fell in love Before he asked her to move in with him which proves he had already fallen in love with her by that time. Even though he had not said the words he was in love with her which is why he sought to get her back after she moved out. caroline saw this bond which is why she was freaked because she couldn't stand the thought of Ridge loving another woman. Especially and it was hard for Ridge to use the words "I love you". Ridge admits he had the feelings but couldn't act on them and it was his fault. I remember Ridge said he was sorry she wasn't the one he was looking for. Ridge thought she was caroline and when he saw Brooke, he was blown away.

Lot of Brooke haters either never watched the old episodes when she had moved on from Ridge and he wanted her back, or the hatred for the character makes them in denial. Just like when Brooke had moved on with Nick and Ridge kept interfering claiming Nick "stole" his family.

The bold and the beautiful does this thing where they show one thing play out and then have characters in the show talking about what happened, and in brook case stephenie view of what happened was repeated over and over at every chance that it became truth for some people, never mind that stephenie is unreliable narrator and witness because she hates brook. Brook never went after Eric, Eric went after her all the way in the valley, brook didn't make first move with ridge when they first got together that was ridge

That's why I said they were practically like High School Kids from the beginning. They weren't in High School but a little out of college Brooke was 21 years old and Ridge might have been 25 years old.

I love these two. My favourite couple ever. To think Ronn Moss is 42 here. So when he met Brooke in 1987, he was 37. Wow. He looks great for his age no matter what year it is. He is 70 now. Still handsome as ever. And Katherine looks amazing and youthful too.

Ridge is depicted as 27 from episode 1. His birthday was the following January, and later in 88 he was shot. In that scene in the ambulance they state he is 28 years old. The actor, Ronn Moss was 38/39 at the time. Brooke was just coming out of college before she became a chemist at the hospital she worked at. So she is likely around 22 years old at the time.

People need to realize that Ridge loved Taylor in a deep spiritual manner, but the passion was with Brooke..Taylor was the suitable woman to settle and have kids/romantic connection with .. Brooke on the other hand has always been his sexual soul mate

I think it was that, but more. Taylor (and Stephanie) created a narrative that Taylor and her love were were “elevated” and that she was going to help turn Ridge into a better man. In short, she was going to improve him. Brooke accepted him as is. I never liked Ridge, but for all her faults, I thought Brooke’s love for Ridge was more genuine than Taylor’s.
