No. Caroline dies and Ridge seduces Brooke away from Eric. He wants to marry Brooke again and he is encouraged by his mother who wants her husband ERric again. Brooke and Ridge have a romp in the lab after discovering Belief and Old Stephanie has a camera. Ridge tells Taylor he's going to marry Brooke and he loves her and Taylor his psychologist begs him not to take his father's wife (separated) from him. Ridge disagrees and continues to date Brooke who hasn't received a divorce. Bridge finally tell Eric and he decides to give the divorce to them. Bridge move in together and start planning WEDDING DATES. Taylor interferes and goes to Old Stephanie and is infuriated with her for going along with Bridge and threatens that she will have Ridge and when she does get him and they have children she better back her up or she'll never see the grandchildren they will have. Stephanie called her delusional b/c Bridge were together for along time before she ever came along. Then Taylor went to ERic and begged Eric to not give up on his marriage even though he was separated from Brooke. She then talked him into bringing up the psychological problems the children were having and to promise giving Brooke a divorce so they could marry if Brooke moves back into the house for a number of months. Later the soap changed it making it appear as though Eric was the one manipulating Taylor to do this which isn't true. Taylor started it and Eric finished hte manipulation. Ridge was beside himself and having fits because Brooke went back to Eric so he'd divorce her and she could marry Ridge. During that time Taylor (not married to Ridge) started to dress sexily even though Bridge were still engaged waiting on Eric to issue the divorce. Started to hang out more with him as though he wasn't a patient which Old STephanie talked to her about and didn't like what she was doing. Taylor told her she'd have Ridge and she did. So no the interloper wasn't Brooke it was always Taylor.

At that time rigde was still Eric's "biological" son. So it was not enough to just test ridge a d Eric, they needed steph too. So, as someone who had to participate in it, why not being also there.

With that being said Taylor did hold a grudge towards Bridget but steadily warmed up to child even spending time with her.
