The horn player was Calvin Owens a very talented and kind man who was BB King's musical directior for many years and a band leader in Houston. I met him at a Big Band college clinic where he gave me some good advice.

One of my favourite YT moments. Partially because I get to relive the privilege of having seen these legends twice in 1982. I say 'these' porposely - so many people forget the contibution of the band when they accompany a true legend. What a show they all put on for us. Life is to be lived, but sometimes you really appreciate the fact that someone has captured a 'moment' forever.
