I've never heard someone make an acoustic guitar sound like that. The tone was in his fingers!

If you want to hear (but not see) a bit more, listen to "Alexis' Boogie" with Alexis Korner from B.B. King in London, "Shake It Up and Go" from Blues on the Bayou and "Key to the Highway" with Eric Clapton.

Amazing footage!! If you want to hear another acoustic recording you gotta check out Crawling King Snake by Buddy Guy from the album Blues Singer. B.B. plays some acoustic solos in there as well, his style is instantly recognizable.

In "RIDING WITH THE KING" 2000 album with EC, both play acoustic

Check the BB King in London lp, he plays acoustic with Alexis Korner and Humble Pie on 'Alexis's Boogie'. The whole record is savage. Enjoy.

@@YYZed12 It's only on "Key to the Highway", I think. In addition to those two tracks, "Shake It Up and Go" from Blues on the Bayou also sounds like an acoustic guitar to me, or at least Lucille without much amplification, if any.

I don’t think so, I’ve heard people play in drop d tuning acoustically and my brain interprets that sound as electric even though I know it’s not. Maybe we’re just used to his style of playing? Some of Robert Johnson’s tone sounds like that too
@nickspencer22072 жыл бұрын
@@malaquiasalfaro81 Visually, you can see the guitar he’s playing is an electric. That’s interesting about drop d though, I’ve never heard of that! Very cool
@malaquiasalfaro812 жыл бұрын
@@nickspencer2207 I have a weak example of a blues shuffle in drop d on my KZbin shorts if you want to check it out. It’s pretty much the main style I play in now
