Eric Gale left the world much too soon. What an amazing -and incredibly underrated- guitarist both as a solo artist and bandmember he was. Watch how BB watches Eric do his thing, in total approval and admiration. If it's good enough for BB, then who has the right to question Eric's talent eh? What also strikes me is how Eric -after giving up the spotlight- does not just retreat, but keeps on playing his accompaniments for the benefit of BB and the rest of the band. As you can see, every now and then (when the thrill is momentarily gone) BB takes a breather ( :) excuse the pun!) but not Eric, he dutifully keeps on strumming those jazz chords and little phrases and fills. What a selfless musician. Hats off to the man. Of course, now its 2022 and we lost both EG and BB.... My idea of a heavenly hereafter is lounging in a sunny beer garden, cool pint in hand, watching and listening to these two giants swopping solos 15 feet away from me.
