I obtained a little less than a month ago a B.C. Rich Ironbird 1, it is not one of the new models unfortunately, but just the fact of having an Ironbird is that feeling you had, it is simply wonderful

i have a concern with the shredzilla neck, coming from a guy who only prefers small ibanez neck and owning a prestige, is it somewhat similar in style? there's a lefty model for a steal of a price and I'm keen to buy?

Really sorry for the delay! Things have been hectic around here. I don’t own a prestige but I just held my IbanezRG and the Ironbird back to back and they surprisingly have a similar neck. I thought for sure the Ironbird would be a lot thicker but it wasn’t. If it’s a good price, lefty guitars are super rare, I say go for it!

I love the abalone inlay. It makes that particular guitar pop.

I do too. I was back and forth between the white or black guitar, but as you said it makes this guitar pop.

Awesome dream guitar, TBG! The problem with "dream" guitars is that they are never what is in your head when it comes to feel. Once you tweak this monster a bit, you'll never put it down.

You’re right as always, my friend. It’s not like a luxury car where you expect it to “feel” comfortable, ride smooth etc, right out of the box. I’ll have to give it some love and make it my own. The first order of business is going to be moving that strap button to reduce the neck dive. It’s crazy how such a great guitar can have such silly design choices when it comes to finishing touches.

And I gotta tell ya, when you pulled out the Jackson, the more I thought, the more I thought, hell yeah its worth the extra money for the Ironbird! Thank you, I keep meaning to pin that correction about the Floyd rose. Crazy that a guitar that’s almost 2k still gets a FR1000. I hear what you’re saying. That’s just not worth it. Especially for an imported guitar from overseas. Sadly, as a company BC Rich needs to get their act together. Maybe then there will be more options and less of an up-charge. As I said in the review, I think you can get something that sounds just as good for half the price

Do Jackson Warriors neck dive?

I just checked my JS model and X series, and they do not have neck dive. I think it’s because the strap button is where I suggested it should be for the Ironbird

@@thetattedbaldguy There is no structural difference in a 1000 and an original Floyd. 1000's are made in Korea and Originals are made in Gemany. Same materials, same spec, same everything. It's the Floyd specials you have to watch out for. PS - Congrats on the BCR Extreme series! I have the BCR Extreme Mockinbgbird and it's nice.
