My goodness how people judge have a good look at you own past and work practice they must have been doing something right as the famous brand was over 90 years

Learned too drive in a maestro,had it for 4 years,then bought a 1.6 mg version,that got written off when i got t boned,then had a maestro van,sold that as i was told it was beyond repair due too welding,guy i sold it too repaired it and it was still on the road 15 years later,replaced it with a montego gsi estate,then after that a 1.6 estate but found it slow compared to the 2.0,moved on to newer rovers after that

People just seemed so happy back then. Unionised to fuck but hard grafting and could support their families. Always thought the unions were the problem, not the workers

Lee Englandland production was winding down for closure so no one would've cared as they were gonna be out of a job regardless

I lived near the Cowley factory. The building looked like it was falling apart when Tories were in power. Then BMW took it over and it started to look more modern. They now build Mini on the site, but not sure for how much longer, as will probably move to mainland Europe like all the other car manufacturers if we really do leave the EU

SusieLa1 How many car plants in this country have shut down since we’ve been in the EU (European common market)? It’s because of the EU that Honda have pulled out of the U.K. and Turkey as they have signed a free trade agreement which means Japanese cars don’t have tariffs anymore.
