Restored B&E engine to be used in Board Track Racer project

I just can't get over how beautiful that engine is. I watch this video over and over dreaming of that thing on my project. I would really love to know the process of making it into a "flathead". An absolute piece of art. Please share some inside tips. While you do that, I'm going to watch your videos again. You've been great inspiration! However, it's an opinion my wife does not share...but she'll get over it.

@twofoot65 Yep, you got it right, it's a Honda GC160. We are building a replica of a Board Track Racer and we wanted to dress up the engine a bit. Check out my video of the the initial test ride. Since them we've been doing the painting and finishing.

was this the GC160LDHAF constant speed model and you changed the carb? what carb did you go with? Clutch and Sprocket Configuration? Would you recommend this setup now? I would like to build a motorbike but I would to do it your style...Best idea I have ever seen for a board bike.

Is there any more information anywhere on the web about 'dressing' and fabricating the extra bits for this motor? like on a forum or something? so I can read more about the build and machining work. Real nice work here. Thanks for sharing.

Just out of curiosity, how did you convert it to having the spark plug go into the top, or is that one fake and the real one is covered up by the head?
