It’s 0430 here and I just got home from the range shooting my pvs14 and a Holosun I just picked up. The laser and illuminator model, for the price I’m not complaining. I got for a 10.5 556 brn 180 project. It’s not crazy awesome but I think I’m going to rock it for a while before I switch to something more expensive. Still like my perst devices more than anything I’ve used !

I'm guessing you have the KM2-C Surefire head on your light.

@@paraglidingnut26 That is a separate product for changing your existing surefire white light into a white/ir combo. White/ir is standard in the V model of the m600

I know the Perst lasers are powerful but does the M600v give you enough IR illumination to make good use of the Perst 4 with it’s lack of an illuminator? I have the 4 also and was wondering if this M600v combination setup would work well enough.

Just got my first NV setup and in the market for an IR laser/illuminator and I’d love to have this but I need to save up a little bit more. Hopefully they’ll still be accessible when I have enough spare change lol they have to be one of the nicest IR devices out right now though

Have you experienced any issues with the propeller cap getting seized in the cold? I personally haven't with mine, but you live in a much colder climate and I know some other folks have reported that being an issue.

This thing drains batteries even in the off position - cr123s didn’t last. I bought the AA battery extend tube - worth the money to get longer battery life; but not sure I should have to after dumping the Clams for the device (I have the newer screw on batt cap Mawl version before adding the extend tube). Yes the MAWL is sweet; but I just purchased a Dbal a3 for another setup (if an Illuminator is that important to you then maybe the Dbal D2 is your thing. I could have bought two for the price of a single MAWL and been “about” as happy (for my use). Having said that though,….”flex” cuss that’s why we got MAWLS(hehe). And it does Perform and no “REGERtS”, just needed to talk all that out (haha). RLTW (grad 14-89)

Correct me if I'm wrong but you would only use an illuminator if you are in a pitch black area with absolutely no light because all night vision goggles need a little bit of light to work and that's what the illuminator does sorry I'm need to guns let me know

Diffused laser in a mawl? Well kinda-not really. It’s a fixed divergence VCSEL laser illuminator. Cleaner beam quality than your average edge emitting laser illuminator tech found in last generation laser units. Oh and the short range flood on the MAWL is actually a standard NIR LED. All in all, good review! I love my MAWL

Close. All illuminators inside the MAWL are VCSEL-laser diodes, including the short range flood, so not infrared LEDs.

How do you access the buttons when switching to your support side? It seems like the laser body would get in the way.

If you do purchase a MAWL, I highly recommend upgrading to the AA battery tube from BE Meyers.

Compatible with EC2 tailcaps only. I'm guessing the EC1 tailcaps are with the later generation MAWL's. It appears the AA battery kit extends out much farther back on the MAWL. Any issues?
