Such a great video. Thank you. My MAWL did not come with a manual. So amazing video.

your videos are so good (great comprehensive information) and the filming is exactly what i’m looking for (i.e. showing the product in great lighting without distraction).. love your quality, hope your channel grows in time to come.

First time seeing the channel. Nicely done. Well detailed, I'm subscribing. Would also love to see what you're reveiwing in action as well, so we can see what you're articulating.

Thank you! I'm working on doing more action videos. Part of the appeal of reviews like this (from my end) is I can mostly just sit down and bang them out quickly, so in the interest of actually getting the reviews done I'll probably mostly stick to this format. But you'll see in a few upcoming videos I'll have more in-use shots

Interesting. I have two civilian units. They both have different front Off/VIS/IR bezels. No take down hole to remove.

After a certain date you have the RPC- removal prop cap, it’s great

My first MAWL has the power drain problem. The new ones do not. Apparently, you can send it back and they will fix it. There were only a certain range of units that had this problem.

Good to know!

Which range. Was it a certain lot number? Did they tell you ? If so, could you post?

@@j.n.8745 My date of manufacture is 04-2020. I have not contacted them as I was not willing to be without my unit. This is information that I have gathered anecdotally from other people posting the same issue. I don't keep a battery in the unit during storage anyway so, I don't know if the problem has any real bearing on practical use. I really need to contact Meyers and see what they say.

@@KarmaFlight Thank you for the quick reply. I do the same. I do not store it with a battery even though I have heard that this is Ok.

Dumb question. Are the lasers and Illuminator all co-aligned? IE If you zero the laser have you zeroed the IR illuminator too?

Earlier S/Ns of the MAWL most definitely have parasitic drain. I know, because mine slowly drains when off.
@ApolloMaxOrd2 жыл бұрын
It your MAWL has drain, you should send it in for an RMA

This is probably the dumbest question ever, but what type of scopes do you recommend to use with this? Does the scope itself have to be a red dot, or have IR capability? Can you use a 1-8 LPVO?
@trailertrashtactics Жыл бұрын
Regardless your optic is completely separate from the laser/illuminator. You don't shoot your laser through your optic. You actively aim with the laser. If you want to shoot passively. Without a laser, You need an optic with night vision capabilities to shoot decently.

What has the optic to do with the laser?

If you're getting what you need out of a cheap white light, there's no reason you would need this
@alexm5656 Жыл бұрын
That’s comparing apples to oranges. Two completely different applications. Olight won’t let you see in the dark if that’s your purpose. If your goal is to keep a low visible footprint in the dark then this is where you need to be. By the way great review, I’ve got a mawl and this is very detailed
