When a military or constitutional coup in Africa serves imperialist interest the west and their African cronies turn a blind eye to it . For example Chad , Cameroon and recently Nigeria ( were the people's mandate was stolen and the US was quick to send congratulatory messages to tinubu) When the same thing happens in a country that opposes western influence and hegemony, such leaders are called dictators and any illegitimate change of government is termed the people's revolution like the case of Libya . Western imperialism is the main reason for Africa's poverty and underdevelopment and not the form of government. African countries have been practicing democracy for decades , yet conditions haven't improved. Shame to hear ECOWAS that has many unconditional leaders in power and whose unified currency initiative was hijacked by imperialist France , want to impose it's will on the people of Niger .

Without industries that can add value to our raw materials and creat jobs , our people will continue to wallow in poverty and underdevelopment. Clearly, BAT is an amateur in international Politics. This is not Agboro Lagos style government. He is not taking into consideration the international dimension to the situation in his backyard. He MUST thread carefully. He has been goofing all over the place. He has at his disposal international and regional diplomats serving or retired that would have counsel him before giving any insulting ultimatum to a sovereign Nation dealing with her internal problems. Just like his haphazard fuel subsidy removal he has goofed again big time. To make matters worse, he will tilt to nepotism and cronyism into filling such highly technical diplomatic offices.

@@luissanches1985 You seem to be under the impression that France has been conducting honest business in Niger and that Niger's hostility to France in unjust. If France is a problem in Niger, then it needs to be removed- regardless of what France decides to do with its African immigrants.

Thank you Mr. Okwy Okpala. Coup doesn't happen for nothing sake especially when civilian governments of West Africa are not living up to democratic expectations. On February 25, 2023, APC and INEC in Nigeria jointly carried out a civilian electoral coup d'état against the interest and will of Nigerians at the polls.

I'm Nigerian but I love what is happening in Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger. I wish it could happen in Nigeria too, cause our leaders are morally corrupt and stooges of colonisers. The so-called "Big Countries" in Africa like Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Egypt have all failed Africa. This is why I believe it would up to the so-called "Small Countries" in Africa like Burkina Faso, Mail, Niger, Angola, Rwanda, Ghana to assume leadership roles in Africa. We need a United Africa Passport, one Head of Continent leading all Presidents, one Currency, one United Military Force, one Security Council, one Central Intelligence Unit, and one Central Bank of United Africa.
