Thanks for a very useful video. It has been decades since I had to do aerial photography. When I did, I usually carried two medium format bodies or two small format bodies. Each body mounted with a different lens in order to avoid changing lenses. I never did night aerial photography. If I had to do so today, based on information obtained from this video, I would probably take one of the following three-lens setups: 24mm f/2, 50mm f/1.4, and 135mm f/2 on Nikon F mount SLRs 28mm f/2, 50mm f/1.4, and 135mm f/2 on Nikon F mount SLRs 21mm f/1.4, 35mm f/1.4, and 90mm f/2 on Leica M mount rangefinders 16mm f/1.4, 23mm f/1.4, and 56mm f/1.2 on Fuji X digital mirrorless

He probably got paid with a five figure sum too. Aerial Photography is very expensive.

Excellent. I'd be interested in seeing a longer "Event Space"-style talk on the details. (especially the details of ISO and exposure) Gorgeous photos!

What is it he uses under his camera to stabilize it? a gyro?
@BandH6 жыл бұрын
Vincent Laforet states that he uses Kenyon Lab gyroscopes connected to the quick release plate in the bottom of his camera for stabilization purposes.

I wanna see this with a a7s
@UCreations8 жыл бұрын
+MagicMuff749 Won't be any better. A7S only shoots video better than other full frame camera's, because it uses every line without skipping. In stills you'll get the same amount of noise comparing at the same print size.

Love this vid! Fantastic view! I also wanna do the same! :-) I also consider the holy prime line up :-) Just do own the 24, 50 and 100 mm at the more affordable end of the price range. 14, 24 and 35 next :-)

Or you can just buy a DJI drone?
@TrevorCokley8 жыл бұрын
+Rene Osman Until you need clearance from air traffic control. :P Not mentioning the technical and quality limitations of using drones instead of flying. :) Those helicopters go way higher than the drones too.
