Terry 我一直在跟你的影片,因为我内心一直犹豫,到底是要去做软体工程师还是去读医学院(在北美)。因为虽然我非常喜欢coding,觉得比医学知识有趣太多,但是我知道在tech industry就像你说的,最终能走多远和多高不再取决于你的tech skill了。而且自己没有办法完全掌控自己的事业发展路线,因为我们都知道人是最难相处和取悦的,即使把所有该做的soft skill都做好,也难以避免一些偏见存在。而如果是做医生之类,虽然永远也不可能有加入startup瞬间财务自由的机会,但是自己的职场发展至少是绝大部分掌控在自己手里的,尤其是那些在private practice 做solo or partner的,有点类似于终身的IC

This is helpful, i was stuck in a big tech same level for the longest time, i learned the same thing the hard way. that's ppl jump around , easiest way when your own company doesn't care that much
True story. I have seen many co-workers with good technical contribution getting overlooked by some average developer that talks more.

Just Jump Around bro, unless you are at your dream company, you can even make your resume more impressive with multiple projects completed in different companies.
