This is a dear song. I was 16 when my daughter was born, & though I was married to her father, I often felt like I raised her & her brother alone. I had an oak rocker,& I rocked my babies and sang rock songs as their lullabies. I usually cry when I hear this, because I think of how I we grew together. I learned a lot, and some of it wasn't fun to learn. It was both a blessing and a hardship, but they've grown into wonderful people, who rock their own children and sing rock n roll songs.

Sheena, 12 years later . . . I grew up with this song also, but my story starts now. My wife has dementia, it started in her 40s. She lost her speech and now chatters in a language of her own. One thing she says is: "Sha na na na na na," and I sing this song. She smiles a beautiful smile.

Escutem! Cinco grammys... Magnânimo, Eterno e Único, infelizmente o mundo está ficando paupérrimo no quesito música. Eu te Amo, daqui até o céu!

Many people think that this is a love song about between a couple (man and woman / or/ whatever), but, when I read the lines, I understood. It's a story about a girl who, at her 16's had a baby. And she was alone in the world and didn't know what to do. So, to make her child to sleep, she sang songs of rock'n'roll lullaby. But even so, a very very beautiful song. For sure, it will last forever and ever. All of my congratulations for the author.
