Probablement l’une des meilleures versions de la Folia. Et très sûrement l’une des plus fidèles à la musique baroque grâce à la percussion qui rend l’œuvre proche de son ambiance originelle. Je ne m’en lasse pas tellement c’est magnifiquement interprété. 🙌🏽

Yea, gypsy is considered a pretty disrespectful word. Romani or Roma are the proper words for the culture ur talking about op. Otherwise yea, pretty neat how Vivaldi's music holds a lot of the same archetypes as Romani music! I find it neat how the rhythms of the piece also play into that vibe

Actually all composers more or less sounded like this in the Baroque. Vivaldi is just one of the most popular. Also La Folia was a chord progression that all composers quoted, not just Vivaldi.

Very interesting rendition and interpretation full of enthusiasm and energy! It’s great to watch and see how the theme transforms, it’s complementary to other performances by musicians with more “silver hairs”. Very enjoyable! The longer pauses reminded me of the interruptions between movements in a Vivaldi Concerto. Loved the choice of percussions and the accent on the violin and Cello solos. The pianissimo part put a huge grin on my face, it was really contagious 😊😊. Thank you

THE BEAT! Great piece of music, esp. the drumming, giving it THE BEAT. But.... his (Mr. Fu) last strike on the rim of his drum had no sound. STRANGE. The studio engineer wiped it off? For the drum, we used to call out Boong Chak Chak.... love that BEAT!
