That's a great idea for a series. For begginers mostly. My friend who just started watching your videos was so happy when she saw the chord tutorials, but she avoids barre chords bc she doesn't want to start with those. Small pro-tip: if there's a B major in a song you can replace B7, of course if it sounds good with the song. It depends but usually works. I used to do that, but now i love the barre version

True. But only when you're playing the E Major key. You can start with an E, go to an A, get back to E, and then do the B7.

I watched all of your basic chord tutorials and after some practice i can like, play campfire music and put these chords together. It’s just bar chords like B major and F minor that i struggle with. Helpful tip GG to place the index finger on it's side rather than flat on. If I may share my own five cents worth. When I come across a difficult chord or progression. I also consider where I position my thumb behind the fret board. To place it where there's less strain. Most particularly on my wrist. And exactly what you did. I pluck each string individually at first to make sure they are not muted and strum until I develop good "finger memory ". It is good to go back to basics at times and have a refresher. Just to make sure there is no bad habits or wrong techniques setting in. Cheers.

I actually find B easier than F but I play it using my 3rd finger to barre strings 2,3 and 4. It might be harder at first but with practice you then only need two fingers to play the chord instead of four. If you can play a 3-string power chord using just your 1st and 3rd fingers you are most of the way there already.

B to E. Break it down. Bar finger goes to g string 1st fret. The other two find just follow to the second fret A and D strings. I have more issues with transitioning to B major

what on earth... I've been playing the guitar for 18 years. Although I was able to usually pull off a B major, it was a pain, and it didn't always sound clean. I would sometimes mute the B or high e string by accident. It didn't bother me TOO much, so I guess I just learned to avoid it as well. And sometimes I would do this awful thing where I wouldn't even use my ring finger, and I tried to bar two of the strings with my middle finger. I guess I decided long ago that B minor sounds cooler anyways. It never occurred to me that I should just make the shape of an A major and slide my fingers down. This instantly solved the issue. Hey, you must learn the CAGED system to play chords . CAGED system is very simple, it's just, you can play any chords in easier shapes!!!!all over the neck! For example you can play Cmaj in the shape of bmaj i.e, if you move bmaj one semi tone then it's Cmaj!!!vise versa, Same applies for all the chords! So good luck, practice hard!!!

I like the fact that you teach the B chords version for humans. A lot of guys teach the B chord using only the pinky finger flat against the fret instead of the 3 fingers like you. In order to use only the pinky finger flat you need to bend it the wrong way like if it was broken, never understood that one lol.

No their are not, keep practicing, they will come to you, just use the (out)side of your index finger (the side facing the thumb) just a little, instead tha placing it flat.

Do you have any tips to get to the B Chord? for example I'm trying to play a song that goes from F (barre) to B (barre). I've tried sliding my first finger up two frets and then move 234 into the A position (on the 4th fret)...but it's pretty tough to get an A chord with the first finger already on the neck. I've then also tried just lifting all fingers, get into the A (234) position on the 4th fret...and then bring down my 1st finger for the barre on the 2nd fret. The 1st method just hasn't been working...the 2nd kinda has, but it takes a while to get in position (coming from F) so I'm curious if there's something I could be doing to get there faster...I suppose it could just be practice and it'll work itself out. I'm also playing a song that needs a capo at the 6th fret so a lot less real estate for me to work with. Thanks in advance and love your videos....
