It's too late for this year I think . . Anyways if you are preparing for next year.. then first of all you will have to appear for IMUCET .. then also check for various companies sponsorship programme notification. Apply for sponsorship and get a sponsorship. Now you can apply at any suitable college (IMU campuses or any affiliated institues) for a seat in their DNS Course batch . Once you are done with the course you can go for on board training with your sponsor company

If you want to have a proper degree then go for bsc nautical science . If you are planing to sail for a longer period , then better to go with DNS ,as it may save some time and money and it will get you same ranks offered by bsc Nautical Science. For sponsorship you need to check various shipping company websites (career section) . I think they still start publishing sponsorship application now or very soon . IMU CET syllabus can be checked from IMU website only . There you will be able to find correct information on the topics .
