Give it to someone who will love it and take care of it. Its one of Gods creatures. The worst mistake God ever did was create humans. They are so abusive and cruel.

Cindy Julian, your comment confuses me. You say that humans are abusive and cruel, but then you seem to recommend taking this monkey away from its own kind and giving it to one of the cruel, abusive humans. That...doesn't make sense.

@HappyQuailsLC9 жыл бұрын
Yes they do fuss even when Mum is near... I think that this one might have felt warmth radiating from the engine above or the tires, causing him to want to cuddle. Only he found that all his efforts to prompt reciprocal grooming or an arm being extended did not gain the desired responses. If he was abandoned he would have probably been wailing shrilly or showing signs of exhaustion after having been wailing for an extended period of time. They can also jump and twist and wail especially when Mum is near and they want to be released or embraced and people call that a tantrum. It expresses his feelings without resorting to aggression and reinforces Mum's responses to respond when it is needed. Baby also learns as Mum permits a greater distance to be gained from her over time.

Not that I have anything against monkeys or anything (though I will make the occasional terrible joke), but these things are some of the noisiest creatures out there. You'd think that predators would come running to the sound of a baby monkey screeching like someone is ringing a dinner bell for them. I guess there must not be too many natural predators left.

The planet is overpopulated with people that are not all homo sapiens. So start from yourself. You are useless here.

@thee... I think because these macaques are located in an urban setting, there are fewer predators. Humans are the biggest threat. Feeding, poaching, culling, med labs, loss of habitat, cars... The keening is just instinctual. DNA says, mom is life. They are crying for mom or help when they feel threatened. I imagine many feel threatened by cameramen and tourists. And they are surrounded by both, which is why they're always screaming in these clips. I'm with you...the noise is perpetual and annoying! I liked your comment very much. You have some compassion for a species many consider vermin. Cheers!
