I agree! Jumping to a sign or else off the bat was definitely wrong. Sounds like a boss that has a temper issue. Most carriers dispatch that way unfortunately. I have waited for 2 to 3 hours after unloading before getting another. I feel like the reason for that is to many drivers don't deliver in time etc.

Hirschback has cowboys and 99 cent fuel and 1.40 a mile leases trucks

I’m not a huge fan of that program because there’s so many stipulations. If you are getting above about 7 1/2 miles a gallon with your truck, you come out better with a fuel surcharge. Also in order to get the $.99 fuel, you have to fuel where they tell you to fuel in the quantities that they tell you to fuel. This is just my opinion, but to me that’s a glorified company driver. Not only are you being dispatched, but they are also controlling your fuel purchases as well. For those that are happy there, I’m happy for them, but it’s not for me. Anytime people present this program they always talk about if you are paying retail for fuel, but nobody is paying retail for fuel, everybody gets discounts. Even when I was with SRO Logistics and they had less than five trucks we were still getting a pretty good fuel discount. Heck I’m a one truck operation and I get a great discount with my ES Advantage card. The link is in the description of the video for those that don’t have this card yet.

You are correct about the dispatch Todd. If I don't know what my next load is before I drop the one I am on I go nuts. I prefer to know several days out. If something changes the plan I don't get upset but I expect to know as early as possible. God Bless. FYI I think my bears are more disappointing then your Cowboys.

@@srj263 there’s a lot of things I like about this company and a few things I don’t like. I can’t do a review without telling you both. You are correct in that I’m always looking to move vertically and if the right opportunity presents itself here at this company or at another company, I would be a fool not to look into it.

The first two checks were about like I expected. I was getting paid on Saturdays even though they tell you, you get your check on Monday but this week I didn’t get paid and I didn’t get paid today maybe because of the holiday so hopefully I’ll get paid tomorrow

@bobbyg1994 no I stopped doing settlement videos a couple of years ago because half the people accuse you of bragging and half the people accuse you of lying. Half the people say you’re in a great situation and half the people say you’re getting ripped off I’m getting 75% of the load and they have a lot of contract freight which helps with the rates. They advertise that you can take home between 1800 and 2200 a week. While I would say that is possible a lot of it depends on you as a driver and how well you can manage your expenses and quite frankly how well you are dispatched and where they run you.
