When Omega says 50 meters, they mean 50 meters. Do other watchmakers lie about the water resistance? 50 meters means it can go 50 meters deep. You’re never going that deep with a chronograph. If you’re going that deep, you’re scuba diving, or a professional diver, and you’re wearing a dive watch. This 50m chronograph can go swimming in the pool just fine, but why would you wear a $10K watch to the pool anyway (unless you’re on vacation and don’t trust the safe in the room).

I Love what you say starting at "1:30 - 2:10" it's the truth and if you're going to be a true collector in this price range you may as well do it right. I love that watch and plan on getting that with white dial. this black / orange looks great too.

yeah i have the silver version. 2 things: the 2nd time zone feature is super nice (that you don't mention). and the lume on the hands actually sucks. the markers glow like crazy, and usually cant see the hands unless you were out in direct sunlight or immediately below a flashlight like you do in the video just before going into a dark room.

Brilliant video except for your comments about strap replacement. 21mm is a PITA. It is next to impossible to find aftermarket straps in this size without going custom. As for buying form Omega, there are only a few straps they make that both suit and fit this watch.

I think you even have a quick set date, when you know how to operate the crown…I know it works on the Planet Ocean, but I can‘t do it without the manual. It‘s a beautiful watch, it would be great if it was water proof.

POs in smaller sizes have 8800 calibers with no quick set hour hand. But they do in fact have a quick set date instead.

So cool--love the look, the adjustable hour-hand, and the overall vibe...but, alas, way too big for my wrists and tastes. Drop the size and, if I can dream, lose the tachymeter scale, and it'd be my ideal chrono. .

I dig it. And I know most chronographs are on the thicker side, but how is Rolex able to achieve a thinner profile with the Daytona? I think if Rolex can do it, so can Omega

That's why Rolex is #1, I have the Tudor Panda, I love it but it's not a Daytona, neither is this but both very nice.

Really well made video and watch . This is a very expensive watch in Malaysia at RM 44k. RSP. It’s still thinner than the Longines Flyback. The watch looks better on leather than the steel version. Actual visually clearest of all the dual subdials Racing & 57 due to the dial colors and Liquidmetal on the ceramic bezel. It’s joining my 1993 speedmaster very soon. Lume is better than Moonwatch.

The standards Racing is under$5k the SUPER RACING is insane$10... Like yummy design.. If look at those standard version.... Like the Seamaster Planet Octane.. Not sure it's worth the extra cost.. Just too have a rated 600m dice watch.. No one actually dives with a luxury Swiss watch heh..
